Does anyone do this?
If so, how do you make it attractive, and is it cheaper than breaking up a mini set?
Thanks, Lorra

I've purchased various containers in my 18 years with this company. Different companies at different times. always keep coming back to the one on one face to face selling situation.
Recently - I used the paint containers from Michaels Craft store and they were cheaper and quicker than anything else. I tied the instruction label to the container with some aqua ribbon.
I've used the small bead bags (2X3 inches) for the bath minerals and made a sticker to go on the bag.
I've put the BeautiBistro Souffle in the paint containers too.
One caution about samples: (take it for what it's worth)
There are people who will sample you to death and hardly ever intend to purchase; however, there are times when a sample is necessary to introduce someone to a product/line or to satisfy someone's need to learn more.
Our business is built on "relationships" and we do that best when we do it face to face in the ESCAPE Setting. You can spend a good bit of time and effort making up samples when you could spend minimal time in front of 7-10 people at an ESCAPE.
Once I explain that we are "service oriented" and that our products come with a money back guarantee - most will try the full size product without problem.
There are companies out there who make a living selling/providing sample containers. I just try to stick to the ESCAPE setting where my business has the best opportunity to grow.
Curious to what others have to say about this topic cause I'm open to learning more :)

I never thought to look at Michaels.
Actually, I was wanting to do this more along the lines for my "goody bags" and "prize bags".
At my beautiU training my senior exec. director had bags made up (cello tied with ribbon) with chocolate and a dessert mini and if people boked a spa with her she would give it to them right there and say "dessert is on me."
thought it was a cute idea, but by the time I joined BC the minis were gone. Also, I want to make thingssmileys/smiley17.gif as cost effective as possible.
Thanks again and again Dora

I love the "deserts on me" idea - that's cute.
The sample paint containers that I got are made by a company called Mona Lisa and are called "Mix & Save" reusable air tight paint strips. There are 16 in apackage for $2 or $3 each (I think). The container strip is 1/6 oz. size.
So you know what you're looking for - here's a link for retailers/wholesalers but you have to pay shipping.

I had my older girls make up the samples for me and tie them with the ribbon and gift card/instructions.
Hope that helps,
Dora

When I do samples, I use the ketchup cups from a Cash and Carry restautant supply store here in town. They aren't all that "classy", but they serve their purpose and when I wrap them in aqua tulle and attach my business card with a white bow, they turn out really cute! They are pretty affordable from what I remember. I haven't bought any in quite awhile..they last a long time!
I agree with Dora. I don't do an awful lot of samples that I just hand out to everyone, but I am using them now for booking incentives, to wrap together with chocolates etc. for a nice little gift. There are some wonderful ideas on this board. Thanks to everyone for sharing!

I have to admit that leaving behind a sample earlier in the week made me a sale today. While at the bank drive thru, I left the teller a sample of HS Foot Creme in the tube. When I went back today she thanked me and wanted to buy some right away! So I went home and bagged the bottle and included yet another sample of Brown Sugar Body Lotion and a catalog. When I returned she was thrilled and hopefully will want to book a Spa so she can get a great discount on all these great products!smileys/smiley2.gif
