Does anyone know of any ingredients in either the SPF30 or the SPF15/tan enhancer that may ruin acrylic nails? I used both the other day and am thinking it was in the 15 because I have used the 30 before.
It made my nails all sticky and the paint started coming off. They look "unfinished" now and dirty. Almost like something was taking the acrylic off.
I checked the ingredients for acetone because that is the only thing that will take these suckers off...but I didn't see it listed (thankfully- I don't want that on my skin).
Just wondering if any of you have experienced the same problem, or know what may cause this to happen?

I have used both and my nails are fine. Did you wash your hand right after applying?

That happened to me and I couldn't figure out why my acrylic nails started turning sort of brown. Then I figured out it was because of the self tanner! I wash my hands after but not with soap so maybe that is why.

When I have a french manicure on my acrylics...it totally turns them a dull orange color, but when painted they are okay.
However, when I was putting sunscreen on the kids, it totally wrecked the "look" of my nails. Things were sticking to them and I couldn't get it off. They looked terrible!
I don't have any experience with the Arbonne products, but I know exactly what you are talking about! smileys/smiley5.gif

I think this is pretty normal with all sunscreen. I do my best to not get it on my nails and wash my hands after. This has been my experience with all suncreen and ours has been no different. I have talked to my nail gal and she suggested applying with rubber gloves. Ha! I don't think my kids would be diggin' that!
