I have a new BB and she's thinking of purchasing the foundation sample strips in the 15 available shades instead of purchasing every single color individually.
I personally don't do much with makeup so I don't know how well the samples represent the colors in both the colour wand, defiance makeup and powder foundation. I'm just concerned that the texture of all 3 products is different and as a result, the colors may not be represented equally well in the 3 items.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
TIA
Ines

IME, the foundation sample packs match the liquid foundations very well. Not sure about color wands - I have never sold those. I find they do not match the mineral powder foundations well at all. For example, I am a 6N in in liquid but a 3N in the powder. I had to return the 6N it was way to dark. IMO, the testers are good for shade (cool, neutral, warm) and then I have them order one shade lighter.

interesting - also, can they be used for several people to sample or is it really just for one person?

Several - I let people sample from the strip with a white cosmetic sponge.

so it sounds like that might work for a party. I think she's planning on having 6-9 people there so if she orders 1 or 2, it sounds like there will be enough. Is it actually the liquid that they can apply? Sorry for sounding so dumb!!

She will only need to order one set. They are not liquid and there will be WAY more than enough for one party :)

I bought the strips and use them often, and have a couple liquids for peopel to get a feel for the texture. I have one wand, too, so they can see the amount and size, etc. IT is very much like the texture of the wands.
I actually have a 1-5 color strip that I use for concealer, LOL! I find different parts of my face need different tones, and they are much cheaper than the concealer wand!

If I'm not mistaken the strips are what you get if you purchase the color bonanza.

I wonder if they will have some kind of samples for the mineral foundations. I absolutely LOVE mine! However, it's a total guess on those ordering as far as shades go.
