I have a handful of products I need to return that customers have ordered and don't like/want. They are almost all new products from the new release and almost all of them do not want a replacement, but a refund instead. So, my question is - of course I generally place my orders to maximize my 100's for 20's. If I return this stuff and don't get exchanges, am I going to get dinged all over for the 100 for 20's (because in the end my volume goes down)? And because I have items from different orders, can I ship them all back together or will they have to be seperate boxes? And then there is the whole issue of the vouchers in April that I earned & used on some of these orders. Ugh! And if someone in my upline qualified or maintained by a slight margain, is this going to harm them? I would rather just do a refund then exchange for product that I will then have as inventory but want to know the ramifications first. If there are any other tidbits on this topic I am not thinking of, let me know. I am getting everything together this afternoon so I can call for my RMA tomorrow.

It is my understanding that returns without an exchangedo affect your volume. I'm not sure specifically in your situation with all the $100 for $20s how it would be calculated. Maybe you could ask when you call for your RMA and let us know?Edited by: party4fun

I have returned around $200 in product before and it didn't affect my volume. I asked the girl if it would and she said, no only if it gets in the thousands of dollars. That was in December, don't know if anything has changed.
I have a return of a prep and plump, too. VERY dissatisfied customer...sigh...

Returns do not affect your volume/qualification/etc unless fraud is
suspected. (Like $6000 is returned right after making
DM....)
You need a separate RMA# for each different order number.
You will be refunded the amount that you paid. So if the item was
purchased under the $100 for $20, you will not get full price for
it. However, if it was part of the $250 that qualified you for
the $100 for $20, you'll get the amount paid. Again, unless they
suspect fraud, there's no problem with the return.

Hi guys, I am still working on this return (busy week w/ the kids!)
I was just attempting on filling out the RMA request form online. Can someone tell me what the "SRP" is? Is that the same as RV or what we paid. I can't find the answer anywhere and would rather finish this tonight and the lines are closed now to call in.
Also as I was thinking when Ioriginally wrote these questions, some of the products that were sold were in my 100 for 20's are the ones being returned. Boy, have I learned a lesson on ordering as this has gotten complicated. Anyway, I think I have it figured out now and I actually am going to have one whole 100 for 20 returned (along with $250 product RV) - as these women didn't like much at all with the new stuff (2 whole intelligence kits being returned andquite a fewmascaras, new lip colors and P&Ps). So I list out my products that added to the 250, right (assuming the RV is the same as SRP)? Then, when I list the products for the 100 for 20, what do I put there (the SRP field)? Does anyone know or do I need to wait until tomorrow to call. I didn't realize this was complicated as I have NEVER had a return (well, 1 defective product once but they just sent me a new one and told me to toss the old) and now I have a lot all at once.
And, is the 45 days from order date to RMA date or order date to when they receive it? I don't need to know that for this one, but would be good to know in the future.
Also, it has the tax rate - do I figure the tax on the RV of the 100 for 20's or what. ugh - maybe I should just wait and call. Or is there an expert in the house? I would love to finish this up tonight.
I hope I am making sense. Thanks for any help you can give me on this.
Oh, and do we need to do an RMA if we have a travel kit with the bad batch #? I am assuming yes, but that wasn't clear to me. Thanks.

Wow, I'm surprised that someone didn't like the Prep and Plump. What was her concern about it? I use mine constantly during the day and have noticed that my lips really are much fuller and softer.

I like it too actually. I have 5 people returning them. One had a horrible allergic reaction. It was awful. She has no clue what is in it that did it. 3people ordered darker ones and don't like the colors and don't want to try another.1 person doesn't like the tingley feelingand it"freaksher out". I have had a very good response with platinum in particular.
I have only had issues (so far, knock on wood) with people that placed with that inital order from the web site info before we received theproduct to actually see & try. Once I had a few on hand to see & try, I haven't had further problems with it.

Can you return things bought as a PWP? I have a RE9 travel set that the person decided they don't want, as they need the money for something else.
I guess it isn't a business aid, so it should be able to be returned, right? I requested a RMA so I will see what happens.

I think you can, unless its an aid. For example, one lady bought the intelligence set and case - she is returning it. From what I know, the set is returnable but the case PWPis not & I am out the $5.00 on that. However, I believe the RE9 travel kit is returnable. I guess I will find out in the morning though when I get on the horn. Until I started this wholereturn debacle this week I honestlydidn't know"aids" weren't returnable, since Ihave never had any returns. I had a lady buy 4eye shadows and 2 cases. She wants to return all of it, so I am out the $6 on her cases out of my pocket (no big deal, but good to know going forward)as there is no way I am telling a customer that has spent over $300 in the past 5 months in RE9 retail that I can't take back 2 cases.
Speaking of returns, if you are thinking of the tank for the summer, my advice would bebuy up if you are well endowed as I am - the words with the rhinestones spread out in the bust area and look silly on mine. I wish mine was larger so I will see if I can exchange that.

Yeah, when you do returns, you learn why 'combining' orders isn't always good. I do it to save on shipping, and offer preferred shopper specials, stuff like that. But they will only credit the consultants credit card the amount, and then you have to reimburse with cash or checks. And they don't reimburse shipping, of course.
I had someone order the $20 powder compact and it came in and it is so gaudy (no offense to anyone who likes it,) she was like "I am never putting that in my purse!" so she wanted to return it, but it is a business aid. And there are no other options for the powder. I could not shell out the $20 for it, so luckily my VP took pity on me and bought it to have on hand for her demos.

I have felt frustrated with the whole return ordeal. I returned the whole basic kit and 6 weeks have passed and my client still hasn't gor the credit on her visa card. I wish I would of just paid her the money - it definitely has been a long drawn out process...I know the lady will not order again - not because of me but because of the time. I have sent her some freebies to compensate but it is hard to continue to give great customer service without the $$$$$$
