I am posting this here since I didn;t get but one feedback from the MK board area. I guess it's very pinky there to discuss this kind of things. All I want is some feedback on this from your DS point of view. I would really appreciate it. thank you .yara

HI!

Just a quick note as I have to rush to work (as always gee!)
I don't know about ALPHA, I am not looking for that specific kind of motivation. i have enough with dani johnsono at the moment as it is very intense.

I do however have a question for all here if you could please help me out with this. Now that I came back from Dani's seminar I have been working on applying her training to MK as a business. I am finding that I can certainly apply 90% of it, however I am having a challenge figuring out the part about sharing the Business opp with people through dani's training. what happens is that Dani's training is down to earth approcah very real and straight to the point, where as I find that MK is all part of a 'Pink culture' that doesn't seem to allow much for a professional business approach. do you know what I mean??
I don't want to inventory load people, but I don't want them to think that by not investing in a business htey are going to get rich in a month. I am finding that it is MK directors here really look down on you if you try to do something that is out of the "pink girly culture bubble" that MK is known for.
anyway, I would really appreciate it if any one out there can share if they have used the DAni's training for their cosmetics (DS) business and especially with MK.
i really REALLY don't want this post to become a bitter discussion among people that have different experiences with MK, just try to stay on track please.

thank you

Hi Yara,
I have not done Dani Johnson's training. I do understand that she primarily works with Network Marketing which promotes recruiting much heavier than direct sales. There are many different types of people in MK, and I work a lot with business women. No one has ever accused me of being "girly." To answer your question, I look for women who have good jobs because MK can offer not only a great income but also flexible time. I would recommend that you go to a Chamber of Commerce event, some networking groups or women's groups that are business minded. That's how I built the great business that I have. Good luck~

Hi Yara--

There comes a point in every person's business that you have to look at your values, morals, and making money principles and decide what is most important to you.

I know many people who have joined and have tons of makeup in their basement because they decided it wasn't for them.

How do you think they feel towards their uplines? That depends on who made the decision. If they were pressured, you now have created a negative feeling. If they made the decision based on knowledge, they may laugh about it, or understand it was their decision and they have no one to blame but themself.

As a leader, making money needs to be put to the side and training needs to come first. You must train them about how having inventory will help them and let them make their own decision. You must also train them how to work their business to be successful if this option isn't viable for them.

Remember, recruiting is about them, you should never put yourself first because it shows.

There are many successful and rich people in these businesses, and I've learned from them. Morally, I could never duplicate their methods. I have found my own success with my own beliefs.

Best of luck,

Debbie

so Debbie,

what I 'read' you say is that a leader that follows dani's training may be more focused on $$ than the other person?
I did not hear that from Dani at all. on the contrary, she stresses the importance of helping others in order for you to grow.

maybe i missunderstood. I find dani's trainig fitting with me since I am a straight forward person like her (RUBY she calls us). What I am working on is how to be myself-with her training- in the MK Pink world. Perhaps you are not that familiar with MK from the inside out, so you may not quite understand my dilemma. In MK you are taught to live in this Pink bubble with horse blind folds on. sometimes that is good, sometimes is not. anyway, i don't want to get this post to turn into a MK debate.

I never said that.

I love Mary Kay. I have many friends who are very successful with it. They do the business different ways. I also know others who got stuck with inventory. Some of them were told they had to buy it. Boy were they upset when they decided MK was not their passion.

I know others who bought voluntarily because the advantages were presented to them as if you want to work this as a biz, it helps to have their color on hand so they don't have to wait. They didn't feel pressured and though they may have regrets, don't blame it on their upline or the company.

The answer to what is right or wrong only lies within yourself.

With any advice, take what you like and leave the rest.

Debbie
