Hey all!
I've searched this site several times and just created a username to be more interactive. I see how supportive you all are and it makes feel more motivated to get out there and find the right job for me.
I am sure that seeing posts similar to mine can get old replying to, but I've been searching this site several times and just haven't had any luck with any of the leads that I've tried getting connected with. I am a SAHM/WAHM to my beautiful daughter and provide childcare to some other kids right now. I'm looking to find something that is more flexible. Providing childcare makes it difficult to be able to make doctor appointments and have visitors, take trips, etc. I need to find something that allows me to work flexible hours (prefer while my child is sleeping/night hours). I do not have a landline phone and I honestly prefer not to work on the phone as my house is always full of interrupted noises (again usually from my daughter). Is there any kind of online work that can be done without a phone? I know there is writing/transcription... but is there actual legit data entry stuff as well? If I did do writing or transcription I'd be entry level... are there a lot of companies that'd hire entry level?
What about getting paid to blog? I've read about that but am curious how likely is it to achieve a good amount of money from blogging?
Anyway, I am a great typist and have decent computer skills. Any leads/advice/referrals are greatly appreciated.
TIA!!!!!

There are sites that will hire you to do freelance writing as entry level. Textbroker is one such site. There are some more and I would suggest that you head down to the Wahms who write folder for more details on that.
Legitimate date entry is few and far between. The truth is that there are more scams out there in this field then there are jobs.
Blogging can be quite lucrative. If you can get a portfolio together of some writing samples and market yourself to Internet marketers who are looking for fresh content for their blogs, you could start making some good cash. This is often times ghost writing so your name may not be on the final published piece.

You could take a look at search engine evaluator as well.
Try the Google Rater section:
Google Rater - WAHM Forums - WAHM.com (http://www.wahm.com/forum/google-rater-235/)
Key for Cash is legitimate data entry, but don't expect much in the way of pay...
KeyForCash - WAHM Forums - WAHM.com (http://www.wahm.com/forum/keyforcash-91/)
Hope you find something soon.

There are video game moderator jobs available. Kick kids off who swear and make real threats. They're hard to find, but I did a temp job as one for a few months. Lots of fun if you like games. Just use the right search terms in google daily.

You've gotten some great advice km3. Technical writing is also a growing work at home field.
Unfortunately many of the positions posted here are customer service related and require at least some phone work.

I started out entry-level at a transcription company six years ago, and I still work for them. Actually found the job on this site.
There are companies that will hire a newbie, as long as you pass their testing process. Read the stickies at the top of the transcription folder below for a list of companies that hire newbies. It's much easier to break into than medical transcription.
The best thing is it's flexible, which is so important when you have children. Good luck!
