How many people are successful with only doing shows on Saturdays or Sundays? Do you find that many people want to host shows during the week?
I am considering direct sales, but will only be able to work weekens with my baby. I don't know if it will be possible. I feel I might turn possible customers away if I say I can only hold a weekend party.
Thanks.

I used to only do weekend shows, and that was because the people requested weekends. I never did one during the week.

I book more than weekend parties, but Saturdays fill in before any other days of the week. I do not have one available until August!
Good luck!

I have people running to get Friday nights. Weekends are good, even Sunday afternoons.

Thanks Ladies!!
Shay-I am thinking about something in jewelry. I was looking at Lia Sophia or the new company, Million Wishes. I am still in the researching stage.

I do Sunday afternoon shows, but rarely Saturdays. I'm too busy on Saturdays with sports, etc. And if I'm busy, typically, my customer base is busy too.
I did one Friday night show and it was poorly attended.

One thing to remember in direct sales is you determine your schedule don't allow anyone else to determine it for you and you will do great. I don't do Sunday shows unless it is a charity show in the evening. That's my restriction one my schedule everyone has to make them because being in Direct Sales you want freedom. It goes the same for delivering items. I deliver on certain days and certain times if there not there they leave a check on the door and I leave their product. So there is always a way.

Since I work a 9-5 along with my home based business, weekends are my time to work my Two Sisters Gourmet Business. I have a 4 year old that requires me to be there for him and I only schedule my parties when he is either with his father or with my mom. My son will be going to stay with my mother for the entire summer..Boo Hoo, but that gives me time to Rock and Roll on parties.
It's your own business and you work it to your schedule. Good luck in your decision.

I only do weekends as well. In my case it is because my husband works second shift. Sometimes if you explain to people why you only do weekends, they are much more undrstanding and much less adamant about weeknights. Besides, you can always have those weeknight wanters to have a book show if weekends absolutly don't work.

I'm pretty new, but so far have only done weekend shows even though I also offer weeknights. People have told me that the only days they are free are weekends because they work so much during the week and have obligations to their families in the evenings. So for me, it has been what people want. Maybe, as mentioned in another post, summer time will be different as people may be away on the weekends or busy.
I'm starting to promote the catalog shows more and have one running now, so I think that is a great idea to offer to those who can't book when you are available, who live a great distance away, or who just don't want to do a home show.

Weekends are great. If you can double book yourself even
better! You are usually on a role so the more I can fit in a day
the better. I love Sunday afternoon tastings. It usually
ends up being couples which is a lot of fun and usually higher sales.
Whatever you decide find a product and a company you can feel
passionate about, the rest will fall in place if you work your business
like you OWN it! Have fun with your search. If there is
anything I can do to help feel free to pm me.
