I have my website up and need some feedback... I tried to add paypal buttons for payment but they are not working. Any advice on collecting payment would be nice too.

Hi Lisa,
I like your site, nice and simple! the buttons are working fine for me, nearly brought a logo by accident.. lolsmileys/smiley2.gif
Just a couple of things I noticed,an important one of which you are probibly aware of alreadyis your website has no meta tags, this means no one will find it in search engines.
Also your about me titlesays "enter page title here"
What do you use to build your websites?
These are my meta tags, just change the bits in red to your own and put them in the <head></head> part of your HTML code
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
<meta name="description" content="Visit Internise.com and open your eyes to the possibilities. Internise specialises in web design and offers some of the lowest prices on the internet. Features include forum, advertising and freebies."><meta name="keywords" content="web, design, html, free, buttons, banners, advertising, forum, resources, search, income, business, company, logo, referrals, pages, internet, website, site">
Hope I have helped,

your website has no meta tags, this means no one will find it in search engines.
actually that is not true.
no major search engine uses meta tags to determine search results, anymore.
the description meta is sometimes still used in the short descriptions in the search results page, but sometimes the engine will just pull the content from the page itself that is relavent to the search.

Thank you both for your input! To answer internise: I used Frontpage to make the page. I am going to purchase Coffeecup's HTML editor soon, I just haven't yet...
I have seen discussions on metatags recently. If search engines don't use metatags, what do they use to find websites?

page content and backlinks are the 2 biggest things search engines use for search rankings.
if you have fresh, quality, keyword rich content and highly ranked, relevant sites linking to you (without a recipricol link) you will show up well in the search engines.
