Okay ladies I need some support here! I am having a VERY BAD BC day! I woke up this mornign to an email from a gal having a Spa tommorrow night, she is going to cancel because she has no one coming, but she did mention her two cats would love the Spa. It is an hour drive one way so I asked her to please get on the phone, computer, smoke signals whatever and try to get more people, she actually said I was lucky because now I have a free night!


Then I call my hostess for Saturday night who was doing Yoga when I called and said she would have to call me back and that we really needed to talk about Sat. night. So she left me on a cliff hanger, party or no party........ Well I just got off the phone with ther and she only has three confirmed because she left the invitaions on the dashboard of her car and forgot to mail them! I told her to hang up and start calling people! What irritates me os I have been hostess coaching them for almost a month, visited their homes with goodies, even had dinner with one over the weekend!


Okay the story gets worse....... I just came up to my computer to find an email from my new recruite, she says sorry but this will not work for her, she just got a new job where she can work from home and make great $. She then asked me to buy back her kit! She was scheduled for Beuati U and I have been talking to her about Celebration.


What a frustrating day! I am going to go take a nap! I am not looking for answers I just had to vent to some gals who would understand! The worst part is these were my last two Spas for the next couple of months, as I have my leg surgery in one week and will not be able to do any Spa's for awhile! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I am just new to this myself (just finished BeautiU, and have not yet held a spa) so I can't say from personal experience how I handled it.


But I've spent the last few days reading topics from the last year on the BC board. I can say I've read that quite a few ladieshave had multiple cancellations, recruits change minds, etc. I'm sure it's part of the business.


But I know Vicki always says, when one door closes, another opens, and I'm sure it's true. I bet if we were able to talk to the nationals, they would have horror stories too.


Take a bath with your favorite BC product, take a deep breath and say "SPAAAHHH". Maybe get some little thank you bags together for the nurses that will be helping you after your surgery. You never know where it will lead smileys/smiley2.gif.

Just a few thoughts running through my head about your post.....


We *all* have had these kinds of days. heck, I've had these kinds of years before and I rest for as long as necessary (one rest lasted 4 years) and then pick up and get going again.


these people are not catching the vision for themselves so your most effective use of your time is to look/meet more people who will.


One thing that I started doing in January was to send the invitations myself; regardless of what the hostess wants to do. I have had no cancellations and very few rescheduled. Even though our hostesses are excited about the Spa - they will never be as committed as you are to your business so take care of the things yourself that will ensure your Spa is successful.


Did you promise to buy the new consultant's kit back from her? I wouldn't do that. We are in the business of helping women get into business, not get out of business. Ask her if she is interested in taking 20 minutes together to look at her schedule and make a plan for herself to where she can work this business according to her time frame. If she says yes - then meet with her and go over the 2+2+2. If she says no - then pint blank ask her what she expects from you (servicing her as a client, never speaking to her again, etc) and then go from there to find someone else.


This is not a reflection on you.....its a reflection on the person/hostess (and its not necessarily a negative reflection). Disconnect yourself from it emotionally and put your focus on meeting new people. There are women in pre-op, post op, doctor's offices, PT - the list of potential leads is enormous.


Without sound so blunt and harsh...this kind of stuff happens to all people in the direct selling/party plan business....what will determine your success level is how you handle it and what comes next.


I think its great that you could come here and vent and look for some support (even better that you identify that you need it and asked for it). Get on the phone and start contacting people that you want to share this business and product line with. If they want to learn thru an ESCAPE - good, if not - do it however they can do it.


Point is....keep moving forward and sharing and inviting.
Think about how you could tweak your hostess coaching and how you handle the invitations.

I LOVE the idea of sending out the invites myself, what do you think about following up with the phone calls too? I phoned my hubby who works in the Corporate world and vented on him and he said it even happens there too! I am taking Dora's advise and taking a break from all of this. I am going to go downstairs, make a glass of iced tea, give my kiddos a kiss on the head and get on the phone, in other words my "break" will be over within minutes! You are right there are so many people and so little time!


And no, I am not buying that kit back, she only has half and I informed her that she is still able to be a personal buyer for herself and friends and family. I think I will book a Spa with her and sell of her invites everything I can and walk away with a huge party! Than would make my day!
