Do you promote your site by yourself or do you hire somebody to optimize your site? Your ideas will be very helpful for starters in the WAHM Business :)

Hi, I like to use blog syndication. I have my blog linked to Networked Blogs and Friendfeed is linked so it automatically posts to facebook and twitter. I also am part of a blog syndication tribe, TribePro where we all share each others blogs with our social media sites.

Other than creating good content you need to tell people to follow you and then then what they will get when they do.

I think a great way to increase traffic to your blog is to interact with other bloggers by posting comments. Linky parties also increase your visibility.

I used to use a Wordpress blog and used Twitter to promote mostly - but then I found IBOTOOLBOX and get a lot more following and interaction from there (if anyone is interested private message me here and I'll send you think link - I get some free advertising for referring people). It's all free - free blogging, networking, posting videos, etc and IBO sends the blogs, videos, etc out to various sites. You can buy advertising if you want, but you can also get a lot for free by blogging, attending the Saturday webinar and referring others! Great site and I got lots of hits each day by doing nothing more than some blogging.

I also use Hootsuite from time to time to put my blogs out to my FB Fan page and Twitter and can often get thousands of hits daily by doing that. I don't have time to set everything up on Hootsuite every single day but do it when I can.

I too use IBOToolbox, and they distribute your blog to several other blog sites. Also, they have arrangements with google and others to give you & your brand more exposure.

IBOToolbox is free to use. There are no upgrades available. People help one another promote their businesses. My website traffic has increased from this tool, and my blogs are read frequently now.

I utilize the power of social media.

There are lots! FB, Twitter, Delicious, Reddit and lastly StubleUpon (don't underestimate this as lots of traffic are coming here).
