Hello! Does anyone work for QuickTate? I have worked in medical records for 6 years now, both civilian and military. Is it hard to get an income with QuickTate? Can anyone tell me about their experience with this? It seems like an "at-your-own-pace" type of job, but I don't want to just assume things and jump in blind. I want to start off at a slow and steady pace just to get used to it. Once I am used to it, I'm fairly positive I can get a good grasp on the job and do better. Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you!

Quicktate is voicemail transcription it's pretty easy. It's not going to go pay all your bills. It's some side money. How much you make will be based on however many files are available to type and how much time you put in. I wouldn't go leave my day job but it's a nice side egg.

Oh my gosh. I had not typed for Quicktate for well over a year, but had some time today and got an email saying they had tons of work, so I logged in. Now I remember why I stopped doing it. I do not understand how anybody can stand to type these messages. There is no way to use keyboard shortcuts apparently if you have a version of Firefox from this century and if you can't go back and forth between audio and typing, how on earth is it possible accomplish anything??? I typed about 7 messages and I just couldn't stand it anymore. That ought to be worth about a quarter.
Is anyone really typing these things? What are you using? You can't tell me anyone goes back and forth with their mouse every time you need to back up and listen to something over again.

QuickTate is good for beginners but if you have 6 years experience in Medical Records, you will also want to look into all transcription jobs for which you may be suited for as there are alot of good Transcription Companies that pay a lot more than QT.
As mentioned, it is good for an extra egg, but too low $$ for many to count on as a job.
