View Full Version : Thinking about it - Need Advice

This is my first post - Been lurking for months. Mother went to a
presentation last week - combination with the financial presentation
she actually went for. She thought is sounded great, and it is
something I should do. I've been to the "main site", read all the info.
in the packet, and researched - alot. I have some questions that I
would like to ask a diverse (team) group.

Do you have to do home "parties"? My area of town and friends have been
soooooo partied out - that we joke about them. Is it true that you can
get a webite, but you cannot market it online? Is there a way to make
this work (the products sound great) without hounding your friends and
neighbors? I don't have a problem doing presentations, but do not
want to get into something that takes me away most evenings - I'm a
single Mom, and that's usually the only time I have with my children.

My dream is to find something that I can do at home, preferably with my
computer - studied marketing, SEO, HTML and can drive traffic, just
need the right place. Did I mention that I live on a "shoestring"
budget? I am a smart worker, though.

Michelle,

First, welcome smileys/smiley1.gifglad you stopped in to visit us!

There are many ways to grow an @rbonne business, parties is just one option. Even with parties, there are so many types of presentations you can do: spa parties, smoothie bar, make-up madness, skin care class, opportunity presentation, catalog presentation, etc.

Besides parties, you can use the results method which many many consultants use successfully; Basically you are letting a prospect try a skin care set fora few days and then meeting them right after to talk over their results and the business....I'm sure that several on this board could tell you more about this approach.

There's alsotrade shows, health expos, bridal fairs and events such as these, and you can use a sample trial approach.

Plug into the free training of @rbonne University and listen to the Learn & Burn training archives and new weekly calls posted...these are phenominal resources!!

I would look into the methods available and decide what is a good fit for you, something that you will DO and get into activity immediately. What works for some may not work for you. Find a method that you can become passionate about!

Best of luck to you smileys/smiley1.gif

I would definitely say don't give up your day job immediately. But I ditto all of the above and it all really depends on you:) I have been plugging away, lost interest and now I am re-vamping. I trully love the products and it's really all about me and my motivation. What I am trying to say that it is your business and up to you to make it work - just like any mlm company!!

Good luck and pm me if you want any more stories:)

This business is not easy by any means. You have to work at it. In my opinion you need to be willing to get out there and meet with people either by doing group presentations or one-on-one's. This is not a business that you can build online...or at least that I am aware of.

People want to see, feel, smell, and touch this kind of stuff!

Whatever you decide, good luck.

Michelle,

Ditto on the above. However, I'd like to add that you should have an in-depth conversation with your sponsor. It's not 100% clear if you've chosen your sponsor but it sounds like it.

You should share your concerns with your sponsor and listen to their advice. Your sponsor needs to be your ally and I would listen carefully to his/her answers. Make sure you feel like they're interested in helping you achieve YOUR goals, not theirs.

Good luck!
