Good Morning.. I have been debating on whether or not I should sign up with Avon. I have some reservations, because right now, I am pretty much homebound due to an illness and won't be able to get "out" to network. I do have family and friends, however, I am not positive that they are interested in Avon products. So, they may not be much help to me.

Are there any of you who strictly sell your products online with little face to face time with your customers? The illness I have is something that hopefully won't limit me for too much longer, but I can't be sure.

Thanks so much!

My business is primarily Personal Delivery but it's not impossible to sell online with social media and email.

You could sell locally if you could talk family and friends into helping you by taking brochures to work with them and sharing with their friends. Offer your "helpers" a discount on their purchases for helping collect orders and deliver products.

A lot of customers don't mind coming to you to pick up orders. I have several who pick up and another representative in the area meets her customers at a local hair salon once a week to pick up their products. If they can't meet her and don't like to shop online they mail their payments or give them to the salon owner and she leaves the product there for them to pick up.

Customer who do not like to shop online can pay you upfront and you could place their orders online for them and have it delivered to their home. They can drop off payment, mail it or even use PayPal.

I'm sure other's will be happy to provide suggestions as well. If there's anything else I can help you with feel free to contact me directly.

Good Morning!

Well, its a $20 investment if you join online. Even a small business at this time of year, should give you the sales to make that back plus some. So essentially you could "give it a try".

Facebook and Twitter just to mention two are great places to start getting the word out that you are "the" avon lady. Plus even though your personally cant get out, Im sure your friends would take a book or two for their friends.

There ae also many differnt forums (like this one) where you can chat with other people. If signature lines are allowed its also a great way to direct sales to your website.

If you have other questions, post them here. We are a very knowledgeable group and always happy to help. If you have specific questions you do not want the group to hear due to your illness, feel free to PM.

Avon is an extremely affordable way to start a home based business.
I hope you decide to give it a try
