If you will go over to page three or four, there is a thread for scopists. Hope that helps. Because WAHM has combined the transcriptionist thread and the scopist thread, it is understandable why it's so difficult to find.

What is a Scopist, or Scoping Services?
Scopist Profession - Court Reporters
Scopists work with court reporters to produce a clean transcript from notes taken during depositions.
Currently, the court reporter writes in stenograph code (shorthand), as they use to in former times, however, now the transcript is stored on a computer file instead of paper. These files are then transcribed into English with the use of software known as CAT (computer-aided transcription) software.
Why Use A Scopist Or Scoping Services?
The transcript produced from the CAT software includes mistakes, and never translates completely into English.
The scopist steps in to perform manual edits throughout the transcript, or scopes the work to correct these errors. The scopist is also responsible for formatting the transcript, and overseeing proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Scopists enable court reporters to spend more time taking steno notes, while the scopist produces a polished and professional transcript. This is the bulwark of scoping services.
