View Full Version : A Problem...

This is a pretty long story but I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I applied to Leapforce about 2 months ago and never heard anything back. Recently it was posted that they seemed to be hiring again, so I decided to go ahead and re-apply. I tried to re-apply and got a message saying that I was already registered. I read on the forum that you needed to create a different email address to re-apply, so I did, and got confirmation almost immediately that I was invited to test.

I submitted Part 1 of the test and passed. I worked on the simulator until I felt comfortable and took Part 2 of the test. I have already finished it and my due date is midnight tonight. I logged into that email address that I created specifically to apply to Leapforce with no problem today.

Later on, I was looking at my phone, which I have set up to receive my gmail, and it said that my password was incorrect. I re-entered my password and got the same thing. I knew I was entering the right password, so I got on the computer and tried to log in to my gmail account and got a message saying that "your account has been disabled."

It said that it was probably due to a perceived violation of the Terms of Service. It said that it MIGHT be possible to re-activate my account, so I emailed them and told them that I wasn't doing anything to violate those terms and that I had only received 4 emails through that account ever, regarding a job and that I needed access to that account in order to communicate with the company.

So, I guess I have a couple of questions for you guys. First, have you ever had your gmail account disabled? If so, were you able to regain access and how long did it take? Second, if I can't get it enabled again, is there any way for me to find out if I passed my part 2 of the exam and whether I'm on with Leapforce or not?

I know that I've read that they barely ever answer emails and phone calls but I worked so hard at getting on with them that I really hate the fact that I might lose this egg just because google decided to deactivate me for no good reason.

That's awful! I wish I had an answer for you but I don't. I use my gmail account for all my wah stuff. Your situation makes me queasy. I hope it all works out for you.

Wow, that's strange. Once, I had my gmail account locked out because they said they thought there was suspicious activity. The only thing I can think of that they might have thought to be suspicious is that I was logging into my account from several IP addresses, as I was stuck using public computers for a while until I got my own. I think that they thought there were other people logging into my account. I had to verify my account with them by having them send me a verification code over my cell phone, and then typing the code into their program. They also made me change my password, so I made sure to pick one that's hard to figure out. I have 2 gmail accounts, as well. One is my main account that I use for most of my WAH stuff, and the other is one I was using for my brief experimentation with online marketing. I call it the spam bait account. Maybe they're confused because you're using your phone to access the account. I would write to gmail, and try their help page. There's a section on the gmail help page on accessing gmail with other devices. They should be able to restore access to the account. I would be smoldering mad if they caused me to lose a job opportunity because they're being overzealous.

Thanks for the responses. I heard from them early this morning and the apologized and re-instated my account. I got my email from Leapforce and didn't pass part 2 of the test. :( I do get to retest though, so I'll be doing lots of studying and work on the simulator before then. Fingers crossed because I could really use this opportunity right now.

Glad you got the email sorted out, but I'm sorry to hear you didn't pass. I heard the test is really hard. I'm hoping to get in with them, too. I haven't heard anything yet. I got an email from LB saying they're reviewing applications. No test info yet. Good luck on your retest. :D

I didn't pass the 2nd part of the test on the first go around, either. But I passed the 2nd time. I used the simulator a lot and studied the answers for the ones I missed.

Good Luck!

Yeah, I definitely have gone back and used the simulator even more. My test doesn't start until tomorrow, so I still have lots of time to practice and study which is exactly what I'm going to do. Hopefully it will pay off!
