When you send out invites, what is the usual time period you send them out for people before a spa is scheduled?

I don't want to send them out too soon, people will forget...nor do I want to send them out too late so people won't have time to plan for it.

I mail them on days 14-12 before the actual ESCAPE date.

I call the day before.

I mail mine out7 - 10 daysbefore the party after the hostess has given me a confirmation list. I also have her follow up with her guests by phone 2 days before the party. The postcard invitation is a reminder to the guest. I have had so many postcards show up late.It is important that the hostess personally calls to invite and remind her guests.

I love e-postcards! They don't get lost in the mail or show up late.

Just curious also -

WHAT are you sending as your invitations and do you include anything in addition to the invitation itself?

Do you use the ones BC has, make your own? What do you do?

Dora

To answer my own question: I have invitations that I make myself. I include some stickers that I buy that really help make it fun and I include a teaser for booking and recruiting. All this goes into an invitation sized envelope along with about 5-10 pieces of confetti.

I'm averaging about 45% attendance and 2-3 bookings per party. I place every name that doesn't attend on my "to call list" and try to touch base with them within 48 hours of the party that they missed.

Yeah to the posters! Can't wait to see what they look like. This will help for booths too.

Thanks Denise for letting us know!

I took a look at the Spa postcards two weeks ago when I was lurking here....they're beautiful.

I'm pretty happy with what I use.

Thanks for the suggestion tho :)
