I am FURIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got an email from Charlie saying I needed to stop selling excess on this forum. WHO DID THIS???? Do you have the guts to fess up? WHY do this?
Do you not notice that we all do this on here, or did you go and tattle on everybody? This is a Mia Bella Distributor forum only and I always check if someone wants to buy from me. SHAME ON YOU for being a child and tattling. What...are you 5 years old?
YOU should be ashamed of yourself..and I have an idea of who it is. Sweety before you do something like this why not just send me an email?
Here's a thought...EMAIL the person and don't go tattle like a child. You will make many an enemy doing things like this to your fellow Distributors. Isn't itbetter to just be nice and show kindness?
Did I make you mad when you questioned me so you thought, "I'll get you" and you turned me in? Or did you turn everybodyin?
This is a Mia Bella forum for Mia Bella Distributors. You conduct yourself in this manner to fellow Distributors is just wrong.
I have emailed Charlie back to explain this forum to him. That it is for MB distributors and is the same as a Yahoo group. Oh be sure and police those too so you can go tattle there too.
You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Hi Tracey,
I am sorry that you received this email. I did as well along with a few others that I know of. It is ashame that fellow distributors feel it necessary to hurt others. But you know in the end it ALWAYS comes back 10 fold. So smile about the situation and move on! Life is way to short. We are running businesses here!
You have done your part in explaining yourself to Charlie. That is all you can do!
Back to work!smileys/smiley2.gif You know where to find me if you want to talk!smileys/smiley36.gif
In gratitude,
Natalie

Thank you Natalie.
Seems someone is TATTLING about everybody. I have received several private emails about this. I have a feeling I know who it is doing this...it has been confirmed by the PMs I have received and other's suspicions too.
Why does this person, this fellow Distributor, continue to harrass all of us? I have been accused by this person in the past for doing something that was so totally off base...I am still wondering why on that one.
It is very sad that this is a fellow Distributor. It's even sadder that's it's a grown woman! This person has serious mental problems...now I CAN say that truthfully because if you only knew what I was accused of in the past...it is MENTAL!
Take care of YOUR business andleave the rest of us alone. If you spent as much time policing everybody as you do on your business, who knows what success you will have.
GGGGGGRRRRRR, I hate grown people who act like children. Tattling is what 5 year olds do..NOT grown women!
Natalie YOU know who I am referring to.

I am sorry this happened as well.
Personally, I feel if the purchaser had a verifiable ID number, there should be no problem with buying and selling excess.
I've done it myself because I am trying to build up jars and votives for samples, but I simply can't afford to buy 12 jars at a time, nor do I need a dozen same scent votives just to make scent samples.
I think this is a great place to connect with other Mia Moms regarding the entire business, get tips, stay motivated, and get supplies.
Blessings,
Vicki

Tracey,
I do know the distributor in which are referring too! It is sad that this person has nothing better to do. Oh well!
If you were contacted my Charlie about this matter, please email me directly at natalie@lovablescents.com (natalie@lovablescents.com). I do plan on calling him tomorrow about the "WHOLE" situation. I think it is about time to be fair to all distributors involved.

I'm so surprised. I thought this group was like a family. It saddens me to know that not everyone here is out to help and support each other.smileys/smiley19.gif Until the corporation allows us to purchase smaller quantities we should have the right to sell and trade between each other. I've only been doing this for a short time but I have been put into the position to have to hold orders for a few weeks before I can place them due to the 12 jar min. I think many of us can't afford at purchase 10 jars we don't need nor do I have the space to hold large amounts of stocks. I have boxes in my living room. Maybe the rat is so indendently wealthly she doesn't need to actually make any money but I sure do. This is a business not a hobby. I'm for one want to make money not buy a lot of stock I may or may not ever sell.

Ladies,
Why not work with your team, sidelines, uplines, downline, etc. to
coordinate splitting case orders if you need a few jars here or there and
do not wish to carry inventory? The beauty of our gorgeous new online
ordering system is that it caters to those distributors who do not wish to
carry inventory- your customers may order any fragrance they wish, in
any number of jars.
Please remember that this is a public forum, and when you post in our
Mia Bella folder, you are representing our company. I think it is important
for us to be vigilent about the presence we are putting out there through
this board about our company and our opportunity.
Always be a professional in how you conduct yourself and your posting,
and you will reap the benefits of presenting yourself as a strong leader
with a positive outlook and personal integrity.

Okay then let's be proffessoinal and not TATTLE on fellow Distributors. This goes beyond anything I have ever seen. One Distributor just causing trouble for all of us. One Distributor that needs to GET A LIFE outside of the forums and quit harrasing us.
Yes we have an idea of who it is and this is not the first time this person has caused trouble.

I'm sorry this happened to you Tracey!
I agree with some of what you said Kitt - for example our beautiful online purchasing system, however, some of the teams are small, many have inactive distributors within their teams, many only know their direct upline and anyone higher is a stranger to them in a sense so they may not feel comfortable asking such a thing.
It is unfortunate though that there is still someone acting very unprofessional, and I'm not referring to the ladies trying to move some of their inventory to other distributors that may need it. It does make me pretty sad that our "family" has someone in here that seems to want to do harm or try to discredit others. What does this power struggle prove? I can totally understand their hurt and frustration... and anger.
To all of you ladies that have had this happen - I am so sorry! This really blows me away!

Hi Michelle, there are no rules against selling extra inventory! You are not doing anything wrong by buying or selling inventory that you may not be in need of anymore!! Of course we may not sell on ebay or other sites, but offering distributors our products at cost and not making a profit on them is in no way against company policy
Dont worry!!! smileys/smiley2.gif

Now I'm really confused. My email from Charlie told me to cease selling inventory onlineand that was how I was selling it on this board....to distributors wanting to purchase my excess at cost. Does anyone really know the policy on this. I surely don't want to do anything to jepardize my business in any way. Why would he have emailed me to cease this if it were'nt against policy. I most certainly have not been selling on ebay. So I hope he was'nt referring to that when he emailed me.
I guess we all have questions that need to be answered.
Some of us have no support from our sponsor and that's sad. Maybe clarification from our upline would have prevented all this mess and questions we have.
Can someone please tell us what the deal is?
Are we or are we not allowed to sell to other distributors and if not, can we even swap or exchange anymore.
I have sent Charlie an email, and hopefully will get a response from him soon.
Thanks, cindy

Cindy, did he know you werent selling the typical way "online"? He may have thought you were selling viaa store or something? Here is what our terms and conditions say. This is the only place that mentions reselling of stock in our contract that i could find:
It states that we agree to sell 70% of our stock to non distributors only.
So to me, I see this as fine that we sell 30% of our stock to other distributors.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Also, i didnt see anything in the terms and conditions on selling on Ebay? hmmmm smileys/smiley5.gif

Number 4 under Terms & Conditions of our COTM Application/Agreement states:
I agree that I will sell or distribute
at least 70% of my wholesale product orders to non-distributor
consumers prior to my reordering product. Any automatic product
purchase authorization that I have or may provide Company, will be
canceled by me if I am unable to comply with this provision.
Retail sales records shall be maintained and subject to review upon
Company request.</span>
So it is my understanding that we CAN sell up to 30% of our wholesale
product orders to other Distributors. I often sell to my downline
to help them out when they can't afford to order an entire case.
I'll be interested to hear how Charlie responds.

I just saw on another board that Charlie said selling to other distributors was not allowed because it was stealing from our uplines. I can't afford to keep ordering a case. I am in debt as it is right now. No other co. I have been with would want their distributor to go into debt. In fact one of my co. preaches on getting ourselves out of debt.
I tell you if we all quit at the same time then maybe they will change the strict rules. I guess when they do come back to us wanting verification of sales and we have tons of jars that are just sitting will the co. buy back?

Hi all,
I think this is where the problem comes in. To me I could care less if someone wants to sell to each other. Whatever works for the individual. I do know that as far as my upline goes, that is exactly how they feel about this whole situation. They too feel that if distributors are trading and selling to each other then people are not placing orders and they are not receiving their commissions and that is why they got in this business in the first place.(to earn money from their downline)I know right from the start my upline traded one candle with me and said that would be the only time she would do that and that is the way I should train my downline also or you won't earn too much of a commision if you give them every candle they need. I guess to an extent this makes sense but I just like to help people out if I can but I guess not everyone looks at this situation like that. Maybe that is why corporate has the rule they do about this. I just hope all this gets worked out and everyone ends up happy. I also wish corporate would come out with a new list and description of what we are and are not allowed to do. Good luck to all of you.

I think if we were able to buy the exact number of jars from the corporation this would solve the problem. I have not purchased any candles from other distrubitors since I couldn't find what I needed. What I have had customers waiting 3-4 weeks for their candles. They don't want to order online due to the high shipping costs. It is frustrating.

We can buy the exact # of jars if WE DISTRIBUTORS order like we are a customer and pay more than we would get back out of it. Now if the co. would let us order wholesale what we need then it would help out alot.

Danette that is exactly what I meant. Even if they lower the min to 4 or 6 jars per order I think that would help out a lot of us. Plus it would build better goodwill for the company if we could get the product to the customer quicker. In the end everyone would benefit.

ID's will continue to sell excess to each other whether it's against company policy or not simply because of the minimums.
If we could order at wholesale 6 jars at a time, it would make a world of difference.
If we could order 4 Cinnamon Buns at a time, I'd have placed my order long ago.
I'm sure most of us newbies don't have the cash to stock up right off the bat. Once we make some sales and get some cash flow, we can increase our stock. Right now, it's bare bones for me.
When I sponsor ID's, I'll tell them what I have in stock if they wish to order smaller amounts from me. I'll offer to them first - at cost - to help them along. But not all ID's think the same way I do.

I am sorry that someone is causing negativity here---I, too, felt that
it was like a "big happy family" because everyone has always been so
nice and helpful.
By the way, I did not know that thing about having to sell so much of a
per cent of your sales to non-distributor customers. I thought I had
read everything carefully, but somehow I must have overlooked this. It
is a good thing to know.

Becky,
It's a standard policy/law for direct sales companies, it's called the '70% Rule'. It's been put in place to prevent people from stockpiling inventory for the sole purpose of rank/income advancement. Also called being "garage qualified."
******
Just a thought, now that corporate has caught onto this board, and especially because it's so popular with reps and prospects, I think it's safe to say that someone from the HO will be viewing from time to time to check for compliance. I'm sure someone googles mia bella periodically just to check for compliance on personal websites as well. I know of several companies that do this.

Hi guys,
Well, I've been watching this thread with great interest, and, I take
no sides but I do have something to say with my own experience of being
in several mlm companies over the past 6 to 7 years...
While I would love to see certain things about ordering change, like
many here, and I do not agree with someone policing boards, etc...I do
want to say, BEWARE of the negativity that can spread like
wildfire...when disruntled people share their feelings... Sure,
you feel justified and llike I said, that is ok...but, your
downlines read your words....YOU begin to feel doubt about the
company.....YOU...wonder if you should keep doing this...you find
fault..with everything and before you know it...it's over.
I know; I've done this. I let a good company slip through my
hands because of the very same things. And this company thrives
today, with or without me....People left, and people can do whtat they
will, but let me tell you...Charlie and bobby have "been there, done
that, and bought the tee shirt" when it comes to mlm. They
KNOW...what is right for this company. And I also know something
else...they do listen to the field and I do beieve some changes are
going to come about the order policy. Someone high up in the
distributor ranks put it this way to us at a meeting: "the good
news about this company? They're a start up...the bad news?
They're a start up" and I think that is what is important to note.
I guess what I'm trying to say is....and I'm not taking sides, we have
it VERY good in this company...And yes, there are things we will find
from time to time, that don't please us. I hate to see good
people ruin a good thing for themselves. If you are new to the
company, or, new to the industry, just be aware of the damage it can
do, when you focus on the things you don't like...you'll keep getting
more of the same...Sadly, I know this, too well!
Keep in mind what you found positive about the company, the products,
there's just too much here to be excited about! Wake up with that
giddy feeling you had when you realized JUST what you had here.
SMILE really big, when you open that pay check, no matter if it's for
$3.00...or, $10,000! And, something I also heard once, for what
it's worth dept...is "complain upline, never downline" smileys/smiley4.gif
I wish everyone here NOTHING but unbridled success in whatever you do!
Big hugs, julie andrews, nh

do, when you focus on the things you don't like...you'll keep getting
more of the same...Sadly, I know this, too well!

Maybe those of you who wish to sell inventory to each other should create a private Yahoo group off of this forum, and make it locked so that no one can join without the moderator's approval, and no one can read messages without being a member of the group. That way you can do as you like and not be harassed.
Other candle companies allow customers to purchase single jars, and votives in packs of 3. Hopefully MB will allow this someday because they have such great products. If they do that then maybe I will come back, I just don't have enough room in my small 1 BR apt to have boxes of inventory.
Just my 2 cents.

Private Yahoo group won't work when it's a fellow MB Distributor tattling on everybody. Just not sure who it is.
I have a private group for my team only, and I allow selling of excess one day a week. If you need a onsie or twosie, this is allowed to to post.
So a private Yahoo group is a good idea, but you never know who the bad seed is.

Another way to look at this situation is that the policy is there for everyone to read right up front before you join. It clearly states the 12 jar minimum so I don't know why people would join and then complain about having to buy the 12. That's why it is SO important to read the policy before you join. I knew this when I joined and haven't had a problem, and I for sure point this out to my downline before the application is submitted. I love this company and am having so much fun doing this business and hope it works out for everyone. Good luck to you all.

I am new and your right i Don't have to money to buy the case. I have 2 orders for 2 different scent candles but i have to order a case , that shocked me. I was asked by anthor newbie can we order when it comes to that off our own website for like if you have an order of only 2 until we can get the cash to order a cash cause i do have people wanting to smell the other scents smileys/smiley4.gifbut I don't want to do anything wrong in the buisness but I did see we can't use the image on anything you would think they would wantyou to do that to put there product out there. Like i want to order vista buisness cards but not sure what i can or can't put on there either. If anyone knows please pm me with info on either or LOL i know may get lots of Pm but it worth it. I didn't think i would like the sweet orange & chili pepper scent. I love it i opened the box when i got it had headache and it went away maybe from no longer stressing about what I am going to do , then i don't keep matches or lighters around do to kids and stuff so I had to find a way to light this awesome candle i was relaxing so much i almost feel asleep because of the scent was so enticing and inviting so i had to blow it out did not want to sleep with it lit.
