I had been with Demand Media Titling for a little over two years. I took my time, read the boards to make sure to keep up with all the rules, googled my head off for spellings and meanings, and yesterday, WITHOUT A REVIEW OR PROBATIONARY PERIOD, I was let go.
Before this the titles had dwindled down to where they would be full for approximately 24 hours a day and then we only had about five to eight good hours of titling in the wee morning hours. I am just wondering if the company is in trouble and if anyone else has experienced this abrupt layoff.
Thanks.

Hi! Yes, a lot of people just got the same treatment you did. Scroll down to the "Wahms Who Write" board and you'll find a current thread about it.
I'm sorry that happened! I'm TQA and I'm expecting the same email.
Blinky :-)

I have several friends who were working there - until yesterday. Sounds like it was carnage over there. I think something's going on with the company.

I am so sorry to hear about this happening to you. Yes, it does sound like they are going through some type of "restructuring" or something to me.
