I had posted a message earlier that the total from the order form and the website are not the same. And yes I am taxin on retail not wholesale and I'm including shipping.
But if someone would help me out I would appreciate it. Am I wrong, if you follow the Consultant Product form,

Line 1 is the total $ amount for products ordered.

Line 2 is your 35% discount

Line 3 is your subtotal, the total minus the discount.

You then go down to Line 4 where you ordering busines aids

Line 5 is your subtotal, says it's Line 1 plus Line 4.??? Where's the discount if you do that? If you follow it through, your adding tax and shipping on the amount as if your selling it retail. It doesn't reflect the discount?
[/list]
Am I looking at this right?

You have to charge the tax & shipping on the retail amount. At the very end, you deduct the discount to determine your grand total.

10. AMOUNT ENCLOSED (line 10 _____ minus discount from line 2 ____)
this should be (line 9 ____ minus discount from line 2 ____)
subtracting the 35% off is the last thing before the final totalEdited by: cassandra

The point I'm trying to make is if your using the form the way it's written, the discount isn't taken off. It says your total is Line 1 plus Line 4, it should be Line 3 (the total after discount) plus Line 4.

it IS taken off, on LINE 10, which is the very last line, it says AMOUNT ENCLOSED

Thanks Cassandra...I guess I'm dumb after all. Aaarrggh! I'm to uptight about doing this right that I'm not playing close attention. Thanks again.

NO, you are not dumb, don't say that. It's confusing, especially when you are trying to figure it out on your own as a new consultant.smileys/smiley2.gif

I agree! You are NOT dumb!! It's just part of the learning curve. That part didn't get me in the beginning but amore costly one did...I kept forgetting to add in the $20 for the $100 on $250 orders. I hated having to tell someone they owed $20 more plus tax but I couldn't afford to pay it. I even had one person get an attitude over it. I apologized (again) & gently reminded them that they were receiving 80% off of those products. They still weren't too happy about it.
