Do y'all actually use these? Would you trust using them? I'm nervous to use them as I am afraid a payment won't go through :(
I am still at the $100 Credit...
Just confused about them.....

I have bought the imprinter and the forms and maybe used two in six years. I wouldn't worry with them. To use them you have to have an imprint of their card along with their signature and you have to call in and get a code at the time you deliver their order. Then you have to send the slip into Avon before credit will be added to your account.
I would suggest cash and check (only take a check if you trust the customer because if the check bounces in your account you receive a fee then have to go through the trouble of getting the money back).

I bought the imprinter too
Used it twice and put it in a ziplock bag and have never used it again.
People DO buy more if they can pay with a credit card, so I encourage them at this time of year to use my website.
I do know of one EUL here that takes their CC info tho and just runs the card through My Accounts / pay avon and puts their amount against her bill due - she sends them the usual invoice and PAID with amount charged to their account -

I take credit & debit cards all the time. It's an easy phone call to get authorization and you'll know immediately if the transaction is approved. The full amount of the transaction is credited towards your Avon account balance as soon as Avon receives the signed credit card slip.
I also have an imprinter but you really only need the side of a pen or a pencil to make a rubbing of the card. No need to spend $15 to get one with the Avon logo. Probably could find one cheaper elsewhere.
I wouldn't mind if all my customers paid this way and I try to promote it.
I think I may start doing what the EUL Bonnie spoke of does. That seems easier & my Avon account would be credited immediately - no waiting for Avon to get the slip through snail mail.

I think I do want to do it that way, however I am afraid of waiting on Snail Mail. I guess I would have to have someone order that way & then go through the process of the EUL so I understood and was SURE that the payment went through....

I offer them to use their cc and just pay via my account on my smartphone and give them the confirmation number. I also have 1 who calls in her payment over the phone..i wont bother with slips and imprinters waste of money
