I have just started as an Avon Rep, I live in an Apartment building, and you are not allowed to put things in the mail boxes. I have put up a flyer in the foyer and put my books in the Mail Stand we have. I have done so far 2 campaigns and I have only had 1 customer :( I have made a facebook page also, But being in New Zealand, we do not have online Avon E-stores for some reason. It is also super annoying ! I have only been ordering 10 Avon Books and 10 Well being as I don't want to put myself out of pocket. I bought samples this round and have listed them on my Facebook Page. Do you think the Avon Sample Case is a good tool and does anyone know what samples come in it ? I tried the Avon NZ site to no avail.
If some people could please look at my Avon Facebook page and tell me if I could be doing anything else that would be great. I also have an E-Brochure on my site, It may be interesting to see the different products between countries so if someone could post me a link for an American current brochure that would be good :)
Please note I am in New Zealand, so the prices will be different and so may the products.

Please facebook Search : Stacey's Avon Rep Page

Any more tips or tricks I could use to boost sales ?

Again, Thanks In Advance,

Stacey

Are you allowed to hang brochures on the door knobs or hooks if yall have them? I wouldn't recomend purchasing the sample kit if your not willing to purchase more brochures simply because your brochure is your store. Have you talked with your District Manager yet? They will have more of an idea of how to help you in your area. See if you can go to local business and leave brochures for the employees. Go to google and type in Avon New Zealand and read through the searches, you may find alot of ideas to help you.

This is the site for our current brochure http://www.youravon.com/static/catalog/2011/22/en/index.html

Kaylah, where is the rep that signed you up and where is your District Manager?

Have you reached out to them yet?

I would offer a general suggestion, or two, but you New Zealand may have different laws than here, so it's really best for you to connect with the individual that you signed with, as well as your District Manager.

Also, were you aware that there is a HUGE Avon-specific forum available to you via your back office?

My building has an access key, I can only get to my floor of the building with it :P The person who signed me up never got back to me and I got an email yesterday regarding my DM that she has resigned, after I got all the emails about the next sales event with her. I thought that was highly odd.

I will order more brochures for nxt campaign and see if any businesses around me will take them. I also have anouther person doing Avon in my building. I Put a flyer up with my contact details in the foyer stating that I am doing Avon, but I may make a better one with tearoff strip things and my number.

Thanks for the advice !

Our promotion nxt brochure is the Slip Into Gift Packs, do you guys have that fragrance ?

Wow love the Well Being book, wish they would do that here. Your building is locked and secured. I was going to suggest maybe having an open house but what about talking to the apt manager and seeing if you could have like an open house in the main lobby or something. (Don't know much about apt buildings). Also ask about new attendent packets see if you could put flyers in that if they have one.

I will try the door handle bag thing on my floor and see how I go, next brochure order, as their are already 11 apartments there, and potential customers :P Could also see if my friend will let me do it on his floor .. I like the security of the building, as we are right in the city, you get a few drunk people walking round late at night. I also love the wellbeing books, they have all the homely stuff ! We do not have the baby range you guys have, but we have just got a new one started called Avon baby. lol

Here is out latest e-catalogue here, enjoy browsing the different products :) Prices are all in NZD , so if things seem expensive thats why !

Wow, what a drag! There is such a thing as people taking on abandoned reps, I believe. I hope I'm not confusing it with customers. I will double check in my back office. That way you can receive the one-on-one support that you need.

Just checked my Avon page and it seems I have a new DM :) I have just emailed her regarding a few questions Ive had, and I have also asked if my building is taken and if she could maybe sort out a territory for me :)

Hoping she replies soon !

I would try leaving a few brochures in a common area like a lobby or laundry room. We recently started doing this for the spa I work for and we have booked several appointments.

Its anywhere that women congregate

Peds office
Dentists offices
School offices
gyms
Laundry mats
work place
etc

Leave a book!

Stacey.

Are there any rules about going door to door when I lived in the UK, I ran a Betterware business and used to service villages near where I Lived, street by street. dropping off brochures in plastic back with order forms saying the time I would collect them. If no one was at home i would leave brochure in mail box or outside door.

Generally the reception was good and we would return a week later with the products. Return to the same streets every 3-4 months. It became a lucrative business but you had to be out in all weather so its not for everyone.
