I prefer online marketing. Social media and working the internet is my strength and I enjoy it. However, Avon is still a personal business and you do have to build a little locally before transitioning over to the internet fully, which I also have fun with.
What do you prefer and why? Internet, phone calls, emails, face-to-face, etc?
Are you more Facebook, Youtube, Email, Twitter (etc.) savvy or are you an in-person kind of sales lady? :o

Sales is definitely better offline but my best recruits I've found online.

While working completely online would be nice, I like the person to person aspect of Avon. As it is, I am stuck in the house 24/7 with just the occasional trip to the store. I don't have children at home anymore, so it's just me and hubs. I like to go out and about. I am not on Facebook and have no plans to be. I am on Twitter, Plurk, Linked In and Stumble Upon, although I will admit that I do not know how to use those to my best advantage. But you can bet I am going to learn!

I actually enjoy the person-to-person aspect, as well, but my time is limited, so I'm using the internet as a tool :p I actually wish I had more time for face to face, but many people seem hip to working with me online, so I will continue to plug along :p

Absolutely! We take advantage of whatever will work for us at the time. When you are able to quit your J-O-B, you will have time for one on one in person stuff. After all, Avon isn't going anywhere!

Thanks for remind me Lora. I've been feeling so impatient, but have to remember that stuff like this doesn't happen overnight. My heart is really with Avon, but I'm still at a job that I have no passion for. Absolutely love my boss, but the corporate media environment seems to be such a stressful and miserable one. All of my colleagues are miserable beyond belief and overworked, lack of organization, etc. It's definitely not the life for me!

You'll do it Dee! I am absolutely SURE of it! Slow and steady wins the race and soon you will see that finish line right over the horizon! Keep up the great work and you will be saying "buh bye" to that J-O-B in no time! It is awful to be in a job that you hate going to. I do NOT do the 9-5 well at all. My hubs says that I don't play well with others, but I beg to differ. I just don't tolerate stupidity very well.

Lol, same here Lorah. I actually really liked my job up until the last month when the title/description/duties/person I report to, completely did a 180. It's just one of those pulling sensations in your heart when you know it is SO not for you and SO not meant to be. Everything is wrong about this "opportunity". Slow and steady alright, but it's better than sitting around and doing nothing to change things! :)
