Hi,
Not 1 but 2 clients in the last month have called and said, "Figure8 was working...and then I got pregnant!" smileys/smiley36.gif
I'm not saying there's a link b/t the two...but there is a question:
What is it that warrants the warning of not using the shakes during pregnancy? Does anyone know specifically? I was on the GoFigure8 board and I saw someone did drink the shakes during pg...my thought is to stop it all until they chk w/ their OBGYNs (they have the product knowledge sheets to show their docs).
I followed the Bradley Method with both my pregnancies, and that stressed HIGH PROTEIN...but my fear is the other ingredients inthe shakes. Neither are taking the supplements, just questioning the shakes.
Any advice other than to chk w/ their docs?
TIA, Sarah

I was told the shakes were fine but not to take the supplements or to many chews.. as those help you not eat to much or curb your appitate.. which you need to eat during pregs or if breastfeeding. But the shakes were fine..

I checked with my local lactation consultant (The Care Connection in Buffalo, NY) about the Figure8 products. I was told that the ingredients are probably safe for baby, but many of them contain ingredients that can supress milk production. They said, to be on the safe side, don't use the products. I have been breast feeding my daughter for a long time (2 years) so I don't mind if my milk supply goes away and she weans. so I used some of the products for about a week. I have always had more then enough milk, so I was suprised to find after about a week that my milk supply was dramatically reduced. I then decided my daughter and I weren't ready to wean, so I gave up the figure8 products. :)

Hope it is not making the pill less effective. I was taking some prescriptions that if i was taking the pill, the pill would have been not effective.....
...i'm sure it's not that...well hope not at least!
