I will give you a call tonight if you are going to be home.

We need to set up your invoicing preferences so that they include your state tax, etc.

You are an RPS 8 so your orders will be submitted every other Friday (by NOON for it to be an ontime order)

I will also email you a pdf of the submit by card that you can print up

Welcome to Avon! ALL avon ladies are overwhelmed at this time of year, its our busiest selling time and most profitable of the year!

Yes, TONS of information in the back office. I think it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but it's awesome that we have all those resources available to us.

I'm earning while I'm learning. I will eventually get through all of it. Right now we know the Avon "basics" that will put us in profit mode. The other stuff will just advance us even further :)

Hey Lorah, Welcome to Avon... I know you will do great and the ladies here are so great, I know I have got some really great ideas and help just by coming on here myself.

I am still with Avon, and still plugging away at it even with the changes fixing to happen in the house. Congratulations on signing up and I know you will do great.

Thanks so much Linda, I am really glad to be a part of such a great company. I think it will be a much better 'fit' for me than other businesses I have tried, especially in my area. Thanks again for the welcome

I know I enjoy it and I love the products too. My Mom really likes the ring I got for her in the last order, she loves their jewelry. And Avon seems to fit in most areas as it is affordable and offers so much more than other companies I've checked into myself. Keep me posted on how your doing, I know you will do great.

I have started using the Xtralasting found/powder and masc for myself and love it. You are also your own best advertisement if you use it. I have also started using the Genics to see how it works, so far I am very pleased with it too.. Good to see you again.

That is one thing that I LOVE about Avon as well. The jewelry. I used to have alot of it. It is always so much better in person that in the brochure. I plan on getting a few products for myself as well as some samples in my first order. My husband loves cologne so I will be looking for a good one for him as well. I rarely wear make up anymore, but I have vowed to myself that I am going to start again, so I will be purchasing that too. Good to see you again too!

I also keep some items on a bookshelf at home, my youngest loves to come look and usually buys something on top of what she already ordered. hahaha. And I did invest in some samples this time for a change, will put the lipstick in the baggies with a brochure and try to get out this week to leave at peoples homes. We have to get creative out here since we can't walk up to a house and knock on the door to talk to whoever lives there. We can leave the brochures, just not talk to the occupants of the house. They have to call me if they want to talk or let me in. But, so far I''ve still done pretty well..
Avon used to have one for men that I loved myself, but they don't have it anymore, it smelled good too. But they also have several other good ones to choose from. haha..

I'm going to be re-arranging my office so that I can make room for supplies, product etc. I have to empty a file drawer and move things around but it will be good when I finish. When I sold before they encouraged us to make 'puffies'. That meant that we bought samples of the items that were in the coming brochure and we stapled the sample to the page it was on. I did it a few times, but that will get pricey in a hurry and I don't have alot of extra right now. I love samples and I am sure my customers will too. I just have to make a plan and then work that plan! Is there a way to 'look' at the order form to plan out an order without having to start a new order and not complete it? Know what I mean? LOL

Samples are GREAT Lora

But the book is your store - right now its more important as you just begin, to get more books out there

Many of the fragrances have the scratch and sniff... invent in more books!
The samples can come later

My two cents

I will call you later this afternoon - I have a face to face apt in about an hr. Will call when I get back

I'm with Bonnie. I learned my lesson with samples with previous companies. Now, I only offer them to PAYING customers lol :) My loyal customers deserve a treat!

Shipping and samples can become very pricy and you will find that they attract many "moochers" as I like to call it aka people with no serious interest and no shame trying to get as much free stuff as they can. These individuals do not care that you're running a business and that your business takes money to run, which is exactly the reason why I reserve samples for my customers.

I love to spoil my customers and even have raffles sometimes! With the variety available via Avon (mark. & Tiny Tillia included) everyone can find something that they like and afford. Many of our items are $3-10 each and don't require samples. I'd understand if our products were $50+ dollars, but they are not.

I offer the additional samples as a way for my customers to be able to experience even more products. :)

I'm actually making a Youtube video on this pretty soon. I've learned that samples and freebies are generally cost draining and attract the wrong crowd. I rather devote my time to my loyal customers and treat them every so often! :)

Yes, I absolutely agree with both of you. I fell into that trap before. I'm not going to go nuts with them, but I will get a few. I agree about the book being the store. And I will focus on getting the books out there. That sounds great Bonnie, will talk with you soon!
