I'm currently a shift leader at ProTrans Transcription and find that it's flexible and offers a great work at home opportunity for beginners like me. I've always wanted to do transcription work but never felt I had what it took. I have been working for this company for sometime now and I absolutely love it. The owner is very nice and understanding. If you are like me then now is the time to try it and for what better company. If you are interested in working at a job with flexible hours I would love to have you join our team. You need to have the following skills: Reading, writing, good grammar skills, typing skills and have Microsoft Word. If you think you have what it takes and would like to join our wonderful team please apply thru yahoo messenger desktop via protranstranscription

This is the same company as flaminroze posts about. I would like to know and see proof that she pays. If clients do not pay within the 30 net pay period, that is not right for the transcriptionist not to be paid or still have to wait to be paid.

Please see other posts about protrans before making your decision to work for this company.

Even if is the same company.....this person certainly has a better attitude and seems to be much friendlier. I would suggest asking questions and see what the answers are, it may be a situation where it depends on who you are working with.

Isn't Flaminrose (Lynn) the owner of the company?

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone interested in this position read this thread first... http://www.wahm.com/forum/transcription-services-scopists-55/584380-ic-new-old-beginngers-welcome.html

And yes, Lynn is the owner.

And you still have to communicate with the owner, lynn, flaminroze, protranstranscription, through YM messenger not this lead person that is being more professional

sounds like she is posting under a new name because she knows her reputation was shot. she only has 1 post, her wording is very fishy (thought so before someone even said who the company was), and she went out of her way to say "if you like me". very abnormal.

even if someone did not say what company this is, even if it is not her under a new name, the writing style automatically made me think it was a scam.

Good Afternoon,

Ladies my name is Kelli and I posted this not Lynn. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have from my own experience with this company. I have received a pay check in a timely manner and have been pleased with this company.

To refer to a comment made from aewtx I am not sure how you feel that my wording is fishy. I was simply stating that I am a beginner transcriptionist and if there are people out there who are beginners like me and it is hard to find a job where people give us a chance because everyone wants experience. I was grateful to find this job.

If your are interested in becoming a transcriptionist please respond to this ad and you to will be able too enjoy the benefits of being able to work at home around your own schedule.

If you are not interested in this job please do not respond or comment.

I am seeking hard working, energetic, enthusiastic people to join my team!

Have a Blessed Day!

I'm not interested in the job, but I sure as heck will respond/comment. I could say the same to you; If your not willing to pay your IC's, then don't post positions with your company in this forum.

There is a unique group effort here at wahm and everyone tries to look out for each other. We weed out the scams and verify the legit leads everyday... it's what happens here. If there is a "job" opportunity and even one person doesn't get paid for legitimate work done, than that is one too many.

If your company does not pay, you WILL be called out and rightfully so. You can post here a million times, and a million times those who were screwed over will tell their story.

Thank you all for your comments and I do understand your concerns. I myself have worked for a company in the past where I did not receive a paycheck after working for that company for two weeks so I truly understand your concerns.

However, I have worked for this company and have recieved my pay checks in a timely manner agreed upon at the time of sign on. So I as an employee feel strongly about standing up for this company as I know it is legit. As Kelbell stated you will weed out the scams and verify the legit. I am simply trying to verify the legitimate.

I would not be willing to put my name on the line for someone if it was not true.

I am not the owner of the company so therefore I do not pay anyone. So if someone has a problem with this company not paying them please do not chew me out for it.

I just feel like I have been misquoted and want to make sure that people understand what I was saying not what someone intended for me to say.

Also I would like to know if any of the ones that commented to this ad have actually ever worked for this company?

Kelbell

Yes, if you look at the link I posted to the Transcription folder (where this really belongs anyway) you will see the comments of those who have worked, and have not been paid.

I'm not interested in this job either, but I, too, will comment.

Kelli, you may come over as more pleasant than Lynn has in other threads, but the fact is we are talking about the same company. Lynn is the owner and, I am sure, calls the shots.

If you are going to hold yourself out as team leader hiring people, you should be able to say for sure that people other than yourself have been, and will be, paid.

It might also be an idea to tell people the pay for this job. Last I read, it was $18 per audio hour. That is an insult, even for a beginner.

IAmSusan

The ugly bottom line here is that "Kelli" isn't signing paychecks...well, in many cases, neither is Lynn, but anyway...
Based on feedback from those who have worked for Lynn, you might get paid and you might not. There does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to it other than if you are fortunate enough to be paid before Lynn blows her payroll budget. If you invoice when the money's gone, you get paid in excuses. For example, the entire postal service within a 500 mile radius of Lynn's headquarters seems to have suffered calamity upon calamity. Unable to track certified mail, unable to manage getting a check from Point A to Point B, even upon "repeated heartfelt attempts" on Lynn's part.
SO if you can afford to give your time and effort to a thing which you may or may not get paid for and for which you will surely have to suffer fools (see Lynn's other noxious posts), then go for it!
Nevermind that I suspect they are in hiring mode again because several of the earlier hires realized that they were being grossly undercompensated or flat out cheated out of a paycheck altogether and have since fled. No worries, right Lynn? Just bring in Round 2, it'll keep you afloat for another 6 weeks.

And on that postive note...LOL

Susan

I wonder if Lynn would like to comment on this thread? Or has it got to the stage that this company's behaviour is completely indefensible?

I truly hope no one else gets themselves involved with this set-up, and that everyone who is owed money gets paid very soon.

Ladies,

I owe you all a great big apology.....I worked for her from July until October and I received my check for July and August although August was late I didn't panic. Now come September things changed. She paid me on the 21st of September less than half of what she owed me and told me the rest would be here next week. It's been two weeks and I have not see the rest of my money for September. I told her on November 1st that I would no longer be working for her until I was paid in full and she got very upset with me. I explained to her that if the shoe were on the other foot she would not continue to work for that company. Supposedly the check is pending in the bank. How many have heard that before?

I will be filing suit on her if I do not receive all my funds in full by the end of November. Yes it may cost me more to get the suit started but she will be charged with all the fees and she will not be doing this to anyone else again.

If anyone of you want to join together to file a suit please IM and we will discuss the nest step.

This will not end until my money is in hand.

Please anyone out there please please please do not work for her.

Hi Kelli,

In your first post you say that you are a shift leader...but in another post, you say you are a beginner transcriptionist. Typically, management doesn't consist of beginners. I know nothing about your company, nor do I plan to apply. But I can't help not to raise an eyebrow, when I know of other fellow colleagues who have been taken advantage of by this company.

Wow, Kelli, I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. The thing is that from here, it looks like Lynn has been pulling this crap for some time now. There are many threads on here from Lynn (flaminroze), Cambrosio, and others looking for workers, and in every one of those threads, it looks like there are a bunch of people who haven't been paid for their hard work. One would think that she would get the idea, and either pay her workers, or look elsewhere for people who might not have done their research. There are a lot of people here who have been left with a bad taste in their mouths from working for her. Here's the links to those threads:

Yes, If I were you, Mrs. Chitown86, I wouldn't bother. Lynn strikes again, getting people to work for her, and then not paying them. I would stay away. Try some of the more reputable companies, like Tigerfish, or Morningstar, or some others. :D
