How does everyone sign up their business builders or wholesale buyers. Are you putting all wholesale buyers directly under yourself? My sponser says to have two strong legs first.
Thanks,
Heather

you should be placing all new consultants direct to you, otherwise it's called "stacking", which is against policy.... and if you are placing people under your downline, how is that teaching them to teach their team to find their own?

Unless, of course, someone brings that person to you. (like if you do parties or referrals) My BF & I signed up together & I was put under her instead of direct to our sponsor. Sooooo thankful she did it that way.

yes, Jennifer, great point!
but to place people just to put them in a leg is "stacking"

I have heard it mentioned as well though if you have a wholesale buyer
that is considering to do the business, sometimes people will place a
new BB under him/her to kind of give them more motivatoin to do the
business.
What if they do know each other but werent actually speaking with that person, is it still considered stacking?
lso , Sooner...yes I would hope the person would do it that way, no
reason for you and your friend to "be in competition" so to speak.
Thats how i will ALWAYS do that, always put friends/family together
vertically not not sideline.

Cassandra,
I believe that is incorrect. The successplan says when qualifying for Area for instance you can take a maximum of 10,000 from each 1st Gen DM and his/her entire successline. That includes any DM's below him/her.
I know that for sure becuase my Am promoted with only two legs(well, two bb legs), both DM's, and was about 5 DM's deep, and was able to count 10,000 from each no matter if it was in the 1st Gens central or 4th.
She was able to get the remaining 4k volume from her central district.

I dont really know if its considered "stacking" if you are building your down line with new wholesale consultants and bb's. Don Failla book called the "the 45 second presentation that will change your life". Our upline recommends building strong 'tap roots' . Failla says you have to dig a deep foundation to get your building (business) to be strong and tall (profits). Our uplines who are RVP and just made Nation this month are recommending this method. They were sitting at DM and AM for years once they started the tap root method, they (are sisters) are both in qualification for RVP right now. They did a whole presentation to our teams and showed how to build your organization this way, and they sold the book at the meeting. Something to have a look into if you are struggling. Putting all the volume under just a wholesale client who is not sure about the business yet is a great way to get them more interested and motivated.
The policy manual stateswhat they consider stacking:
2.8. Stacking
Stacking is strictly prohibited. The term “stacking” includes: (a) providing financial assistance to new Independent Consultants; (b) violating the one-business-per-Consultant rule; and/or (c) fraudulently sponsoring actual or fictitious individuals or entities into the Arbonne compensation plan.
I dont consider, nor does any of my upline, placing people under each other as sponsors f(rom a party for example) to be considering stacking. You are not going to get the xtra bonuses from sponsoring tons of people in asap points, but you will buildyour volume with the method and the volume of the bb's under you & above you for that matter! My upline does recommend building two strong legs. Right now my DM has one strong leg and is starting a second as just wholesale, then will start another next month that is her mother in law in another state. I know it sounds confusing, but it seems to work out okay.

i'm still a little confused over the pick up credits -- can someone explain? i have a 1st gen dm who recently found 4 bb's in one month, which if they all complete district, with her maintenance she could very well go 1st area -- so, if she finishes area b4 i do -- does that mean that i can only count 2500 from her when i am in qualification? or do i still get to count 10 over the qualification period?

wow, I stand corrected on this whole point! I was reading through the policies and procedures and it's different from last years... in several points, so anyone who hasn't updated themselves with this years policies and procedures, you may want totake a look at it. I remember from last years, something about not being able to place new people under someone without them knowing who they are going under, that they actually have to have a relationship first- now, I don't see anything like that anywhere. Also, I remember last years saying that we couldn't sell product at trade shows, but this years it says we can.
Chrissy, my suggestion to you would be to get to Area with her! You can count 10,000 from her now, and 2,500 per month if she's a paid AM while you are in qualification

Ug! It's so confusing!! I listened to a learn and burn about being able to present the success line/comp plan to people and I am wondering how brand new people- like myself - are supposed to be able to rattle all this off to a potential BB. I think really until you are in it and you go through it, it's hard to grasp. Cassandra, what level are you?

I too am so confused on this, tap rooting, team buidling or whatever you want to call it. I would love to offically see something from A** on if this is allok or not. My upline further above me says its ok, but I would love to see something official from the company. There has been discussions in my team by some if it violated 5.3 Manipulating Enrollments and Sales Volume. What do you all think? I have not really finalized my opinion one way or another as I find it all quite confusing.
5.3. Manipulating Enrollments And Sales Volume
Independent Consultants must not manipulate enrollments of new applicants or product purchases, as this may constitute bonus buying. All Consultant Application & Agreement forms and product orders must be sent to Arbonne within seven days from the time they are signed by a Consultant or placed by a Client, respectively.
If you are strategically placing people in certain locations, is that manipulation or not? I would just love that all clarified.

sportsmom, you may have found what I was referring to... it seems to be worded a little different from what I remember, then again, remember I was hoping to get a "memory booster" type of supplement at product launchsmileys/smiley36.gif
jillie, I am currently in the middle of AM qualifications... first step last month was a huge stretch for me... I kid you not, the last 2 days we (myself and my downline) brought in about $6,000 in volume calling anyone and everyone we could. Now, I need $10,000 to finish Area this month and I have exhausted all my clients/wholesalers/hostesses/warm market getting them all last month, and their referrals. This month isn't starting out too promising, but I am launching 2 new bb's this month and hopefully one more... so if I don't finish this month I will finish next month... all in due time. Now, with this discussion about two legs, I washesistantly wondering if I should place my new bb's under another consultant I already have who could use a little boost... but now that I've read 5.3 I don't think that it's something I should actually do.

I don't know the answer. Its something that has been debated on my team a alot (putting people under legs). The latest lingo we are hearing with it, is legs of sphere of influence. Such as the neighborhood leg, the church leg, the school leg, the family leg, etc. Personally I think that if they are going to truly act as a team and help each other than it makes sense and it seems ok. But if they are not and they are complete strangers and its just to better the numbers, its seems questionable. But thats just my opinion.

I think Arbonne just needs to clarify a bit more because i know of several nations and regions that place wholesalers/bbs strategically. I am sure it goes on way more than we think. It makes sense though if it is o.k to do. You place your new recruits best friend under her; your friends cousin under her; your new bb's husband under her, etc.

you have to place a spouse under their spouse, it's in p&p
one of my wb knows a few gals who I wanted to introduce our products to, I told her about it said that if they wanted to sign up I wanted to place them under her (my husband is their husbands boss, so he didn't want the whole fraternization issue coming up) and she said, "well if I ever decide to DO A*, I was planning on them being my first customers!"smileys/smiley36.gif since they are a circle of best friends, and I knew she was considering the biz in the future, I thought it was the appropriate thing to do... this is different from signing up complete strangers though, that's outright wrong

I just hada similardiscussion with my new BByesterday. I encouraged her to find a leg in different parts of her life (friends, family, church, co-workers, out of towners, etc) so that people would not have to compete with people they know for the same prospect whether it be for BB or product users.
BTW...I wasam listening to the Learn & Burn with Bob Burg on Cultivating a Network of Endless Referrals. If you haven't heard it yet, I recommend it!

As with all stuff in legalise 5.3 can prob be interpreted different ways. This topic is always confusing. I have to agree that placing people who have similar spheres of influences makes sense & doesn't fall under stacking. If you don't it can just lead to confusion later on. You want a team & that means you don't want people competing for the same prospects. It just leads to bad feelings.
Putting strangers under each other is a lot more murky. It can end up really ugly. It's better to just place them direct to you if you prospected them. Besides, you can't forget about your central either!
