Virtual Office Assistant (Memphis area)

We are a Memphis based company that rents and manages residential real estate.
We are looking for someone to fill an administrative assistance role, offering phone support and email assistance to tenants and prospective tenants.
This job will require you to work from home. We are in need of 30-40 hours per week, and the compensation is $7-10 per hour, depending on your experience. This position is for an independent contractor, not an employee.
Your job responsibilities will include:
- Take maintenance requests from tenants
- Coordinate repairs with tenants and contractors
- Processing rental applications
- Respond to phone calls and emails from prospective tenants
- Keep a log of prospects on your computer
- Coordinate property showings with prospective tenants and our leasing agents.
- Post rental availability changes on our website
- Scan and file documents
A qualified individual will have the following:
- A home office with a computer, a fax and scanner. Your computer should be new enough to allow you to Skype and do video conferencing. You will also need to have Microsoft office. Our tenant information is through a cloud based provider, so you will also need at least a dsl internet connection.
- You have to be organized enough to work with minimal supervision. Working in a virtual office environment at your house requires you to be focused. Maintenance requests need to be taken immediately and marketing requests should be answered as soon as possible.
- You have to be able to talk coherently on the phone.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is necessary. Previous experience in an office administrative roll would be a big plus.
