Have you worked for this company? Does she (Tracey) owe you money? She owes me $315.95 and is not returning messages. I am preparing to take the next steps. If you are owed money, please speak up. I know for a fact there are others out there.
Has anyone had any luck in collecting on delinquent invoices? If you have a suggestion as to how I proceed, please let me know. I am investigating the options now.

I am sorry this has happened to you, pawp11, but thank you for speaking out.
I make no comment on this particular case. I have never worked with the company concerned.
However, any time there is a non-payment issue within the transcription community, I believe it is incumbent on each and every one of us to say so before it gets worse.

She owes me $250 and I have not heard from her in over a month. She paid for one of my invoices, which was $23. I do not know any legal recourse because she is in Canada. Please let me know if there is anything you find. I do know her full name if that could help. I also know she was an IC for Accutran, not sure if she still works with them.

Yes, me too! She paid me once, but I still have an outstanding invoice for $138. I haven't heard anything from her in months.
Please keep me updated on any ideas on how we should all proceed.

So far I have discovered one of her phone numbers is in New York. The other is in Ontario. I am still attempting to find a New York address for her. Filing with the AG there might be our best option. The 800 number for the business isn't in service anymore. I have the hotmail address off the single PayPal payment I received plus the five business emails (which I assume are no longer going to her.)
I sent another email today and plan to continue sending those as I continue my search. I think we should all be flooding her inbox. So far I have people telling me there are amounts from $75 to more than $600.
I find it disgusting that someone would do this. I found a post from her on another site from October of last year complaining about someone stiffing her.

I still have all of the paperwork from when I first started working for her, including an "emergency" phone number, which I'm assuming is her cell. I don't know if that might be of any help...
I am more than willing to do whatever it takes. I am assuming that she told everyone the same story about an employee stealing from her, but I feel like she in turn is stealing from all of us.
I had just chalked it up to bad business and a lesson learned on my part. I'm sorry to find out there are others in the same situation, but glad to know we can maybe work together to get this resolved.
I'll start digging around myself and see if I can come up with any solutions or suggestions.

I just wanted to post to say I am working on figuring out where we go next. I have a list of the people who have posted here and on TE. So far with seven of us, the amount is over $1500. The amounts range from $75 to $550. (I misquoted that earlier.)Another person has posted that they are owed but hasn't shred the amount.
Does anyone have a reverse phone ID that shows the address? I know some of those sites show the addresses. I have a New York number that I am trying to find a mailing address.
If you have information and feel uncomfortable posting publicly, please do PM me. The more info I have the better the odds of any of us collecting.

I found an address and sent it to you. I found it listed on multiple sites also, so it seems legit.

Sorry to hear that people have not been paid, but thank you for posting this information.

Wow. Hope you all get justice. I know a year or so ago, some people on another transcription board were going through the same situation. Not sure if it was the same employer. When times are lean with the company I work for, I have considered taking some work from an individual. But after reading this, I'll think twice.

Itsjustmeli,
This woman presented herself as a business. She wasn't offering overflow. She did appear to be a start-up, but I thought she was a legit business. I am sure the others did too. My point is it isn't just individuals that will leave you high and dry.
Oh, and if it was last September that you are talking, this person was one of the ICs complaining about not geting paid. How is that for irony?

Yes, it appeared very legitimate the whole time. Good Web site, signed/scanned contracts, professional communication, everything you would expect out of a legitimate business. Until it was time to get paid, of course...
