I just found a Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper jar for sale on Ebay.
Actually, there are five jar candles listed right now, starting bid $9.00.

What would you do? Tell the seller they shouldn't be selling candles on
Ebay? Report it to Scent-Sations? Mind your own business?

Or do you suppose that the people from Scent-Sations probably already
monitor Ebay, looking to see if the candles are being sold there?

I just thought it was interesting to run across them there, and wondered what others might do, if anything...?

Edited to correct a line.

Just email them a nice email and tell them that is against company policy to do this. Also, it is against Ebay policy and Ebay will pull the ad.

More than likely they will say they are not or no longer a Dist., in any case, Ebay will cancel it.

I did a search for Mia Bella and found them. They need to be reported. There's no way Scent-Sations can monitor all the eBay listings since there are millions listed every day and if they don't use certain keywords, you'd never know it was there.

No Ebay will pull it. Don't report them. That's like a child tattling. Just email them and tell them, they honestly may not know.

Ebay and Scent-sations has a contract that our products cannot be sold on Ebay. Lots of companies do this, it's a brand infringement kind of thing. I can promise you, Ebay will find it and pull it. I have seen it happen several times.

Just be nice and send that person an email telling them.

It's not at all like tattling - Antique dealers are always having problems with people selling fake goods on eBay which drive down the price of the real thing and eBay doesn't monitor this. They only care about the listing fees and final fees they get on every listing. There are millions of items listed every day - unless certain keywords are used eBay is not going to find it. This one happens to be using Mia Bella, but how many other listings are on there using product photos but not naming it in the listing?

Why not just be kind and send them an email to let them know? They may be new and honestly not know. I know my sponsor never told me this.

There is no reason to cause a fuss about it. I can promise you Ebay will pull it...been there. Charlie and I had a nice little conversation about this one time. He informed me that they have a contract with Ebay that prohibits our products being sold on there. A lot of companies do this and yes I would imagine Ebay has some sort of "finding feature" for things like this.

It's not a big deal it will be pulled. If you want to be rude and "tattle" then by all means go ahead.Personally I think our home office has better things to do than go chasing down every little complaint they get.

It's just better to be nice about the situation, show some kindness, as this person really may not know.

MY 2 cents worth.

I went into the soy category on eBay and found 3 other people selling Mia Bella candles - total of 4 people with current listings - not all were using the keywords Mia Bella, but all had product photos.

Oops, I probably never should have brought this up, because in no way
would I want to be a "tattle tale". I just thought it was interesting
that somebody would use the words "Mia Bella" on Ebay, since it's so
easy to search for with that term.

I just assumed that the corporate office WOULD be conducting searches on Ebay, since it only takes a few minutes.

I'm pretty sure that if you start reading some of the company
materials, it says right in there that you can't sell on Ebay. I don't
think that necessarily needs to come from a person's sponsor.

I do agree though that the people that are selling there should just be politely e-mailed, in case they truly missed that rule.

I emailed http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gifmummy02susan (http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=mummy02susan&iid =4461320965&frm=284)on eBay, who has several listings (I also emailed the other 3 people but haven't gotten a response from them) - this is what she wrote back:

"I don't sell for Scentsations. I bought these candles at a flea market so therefore, I can and will do with them as I wish. I don't even know anything about Scentsations and don't care to."

Ebay will pull her auction. It is against Ebay rules also as they have a contract with Scentsations. Just email her back and oh so nice that you were just trying to forewarn her before they pull it.

I tried to find the email that Charlie sent me on this and I cannot find it. Will keep looking.
