Hello everybody! I have my own business right now(Real Estate) but the hours are horrendous. I am out driving around most of the day...I live in a big city so just to drive to one side of town will take up to 30-40 minutes. I am not enjoying that part of my job. I am not enjoying the fact that I have no time for my family or myself.
I am looking for something where I could work exclusively online. I am not interested in any party type business. I tried selling jewelry I made a few years ago but I wasn't sure how to go about marketing my products so the passion for that faded. I have learned alot since then and I am confident that I could get my name out. I DO love jewelry and accessories (hair accessories, rings, etc.) and I think that's what I would like to do. I just don't want to make the products...I would like to sell ready made stuff. I am looking for a company that provides you with a website. And I would like to sell products that aren't too pricey. I would be competing with Forever 21 (cheap but really cute jewelry) which is down the street from my house.
Please give me ideas and names of companies that are out there. The more the better! Thanks so much!

Sounds like a Jewelery business would be a good fit you sound like you have passion for it. Have you viewed the Jewelery folders? Sales: Jewelry Companies - WAHM Forums - WAHM.com (http://www.wahm.com/forum/sales-jewelry-companies-27/)

There are a lot of awesome gals there who I know would happily answer any questions you have!

Good Luck to you & Much Success ~Amy

Another place to look is at posters signature lines... again, sooo many ideas to choose from

Dugsmom.

I agree with Amy. Come check us out in the jewelry forums. I'm with Guy and Eva and really love it.

You could also check out the affiliate marketing forum. There are many jewelry businesses that allow people to be affiliates. You can setup a blog or web site and post articles about jewelry, do some promotion, and place affiliate links to the sites on it. You will get a commission for what you sell from the company's site through your affiliate link.

There is a lot of information on affiliate marketing in the affiliate marketing folder here. It is quite simple to setup your own blog or site to do this. The best part is that the upfront costs are much lower then many business opportunites.

A domain name and first month of hosting can cost you a bit over $10.

Thank You sooo much! I am so used to coming straight to this folder and didn't even think to look at the other folders!
I really like the affiliate marketing idea! I am thinking of either going that route or buying wholesale and see how things go.

If you can, it's probably better to go that affiliate marketing route and set up your own website - if you'll have the time to put into marketing it (and first learning about marketing it), than to look for a company that will give you a site. Usually if they give you a site, it will be a microsite on their domain, which will be harder for you to promote than an independent site, where you can choose the name of the domain and you have full control.

Good luck!

There are many options out there, but digital products and distribution tend to offer the greater compensation for the same money as marketing physical products. Whatever you decided to do I would suggest having multiple income streams. Don't rely on one business the same as a person shouldn't rely on their job to provide all their income, if any.

The majority of businesses provide at least one website for their reps, most more than one.

The resources here at WAHM are numerous. You can read over the various ads in the Advertise Your Business forum, and note the signature blocks for many postings.

You may be surprised by the wide array of home businesses these days, but if jewelry is your main interest, I'm sure you'll find WAHM members who would love to help you with that.

Best of luck finding a company that is a perfect fit for you.
