...Monday nights as a good time to hold shows? I'm looking to rearrange my schedule, and I was curious to get your thoughts.

I like Monday nights. Great Moms or Ladies night. Usually
very good attendance since not much is usually scheduled for Monday
nights. Good attendance will usually result in a more successful
event!smileys/smiley32.gif

I have great Monday night and any weeknight shows. My attendance is always higher at weeknight shows because people get to break up their work week by coming and unwinding at the party and usually have plans for both days of the weekend-all day and trying to fit in parties is sometimes hared. The reason is because where I live people spend their time outside on the lake we live by. So, especially during summer, 99% of the people I book would rather book on a weeknight.

I agree with M.J. about Mondays being good because of things not usually scheduled on Mondays like ball practice or games that are going right now for summer.

I Love weeknight parties. I agree with Krystal 100% and I have found that Thursdays are the new Fridays.smileys/smiley2.gif

I always tell hostess's that weeknights are best for attendance. It breaks up the work week, and hubbies are more likely willing to watch kids during the week, they have earlier bed times. LOL However, lately, I have been the pre-party to them going out clubbing on Friday nights, LOL. Which has raised attendance anyway.

Try using an open date card to take control of your own date book. If you want more info PM me! Works like magic, and nobody EVER see's my datebook but me and my family! smileys/smiley2.gif

I control my calendar just like Jody does. Our family calendar is filled up and no one needs to see that! LOL

I haven't personally offered Monday parties because that is my husband's late night to work.

But just as Jody says, Thursdays book easily. I also have Tuesdays on my calendar. That day is not as popular, but I do get bookings. My Saturdays go first. In July, I have 3 parties in a row on a Saturday. So I will double book or triple if they are spacedto give me time to breathe!

I think weeknights are wonderful especially when warm weather hits. Because when warm weather hits people travel and they want to be outside so a night time week night party is soo much better during this time of year to help avoid schedule conflicts.

I prefer weeknights. I like Tues and thurs. But I work with the hostess and my schedule as well.

Monday's tend to be my lightest booking night lately, but that's not always the case. I actually expect that my Saturdays will start to be less booked during the summer months so that will fill my weeknights. You pick the days you can work and just let people know what you offer. They work around you, NOT the other way around. As our VP says "If you can learn to control your date book you can learn anything in this business".
