View Full Version : Am I too positive?

Aggghh..

On aDT board, some girls had turned it into a B*** feast. Which is fine, but it was beginning to get old, so I spoke up.

Now all of a sudden, everyone is mad at me for saying it's better to focus on the positive and instead of bitching on the boards, to do something about it like contact the company.

I think I'm done with that board. I'm too positive of a person, oh my!

Gee, I wonder how successful they are in their business? Luckily I don't encourage my team members to sign up for the board because I often find the negative nellies who just want to complain.

I have nothing about complaining if it can be done in a way, and then moved on.

Oh well,

Debbie

I was a part of a PC group that was not beneficial at all. No one was posting
anything worth reading so I drop it. It was a waste of time to read it. I'm all
about sharing my ideas and getting ideas from others but when everyone is
fighting and giving misinformation it's not worth it!

you did a good thing!

There's no such thing as too positive ~ You're just fine Debbie! And if they want to get mad at you for being the voice of light ~ well then that's pathetic and sad..

I would definitely stay off the board..negative people just have a way of bringing you down ~ who needs that??

Hi Debbie! I watched the whole thing unfold on the board. It was aweful how they got mad b/c you were just trying to point out that there are far better things to do than complain. I completely agree with how you feel. It does sometimes get too "negative". A newcomer would be scared off I think. Being new in a business is scary enough as it is, and when someone goes there and sees all those people getting mad about products, etc. that just makes the new consultant question whether they did the right thing or not by taking this new venture on.

I do think someone can be too positive. YOU are NOT! You are possitive, but realistic too. You don't sugar-coat everything...you tell it how it is, in a positive note. It's very reassuring.

I wouldn't worry about them. You can feel good about how you run your business...that's more than they can say I bet!

I seriously agree with the above post. You are a positive person who does not sugar coat. I wonder if it is jelousy(sp?) that is fueling their anger.

I have to agree as well - you can never be *too* positive. I try to stay away from the boards where negativity is rampant. Life's too short - if you don't like something then don't do it. Don't bring everyone else down, too!

We all do our business because we love what we do! Focus on that and watch your business grow!

Hey Deb,

I feel the same way. Who has time for the negative. I am
firm believer that you get back what you put forward ten fold, so you
have got a lot of good positive things coming your way!smileys/smiley31.gif

HI Deb, I stopped posting on my company's board for the same reason. Every time you post something positive, there are negative people who turn it around to be a complaint or just a negative statement. I have always been taught to hang around winners, so I left to find them.:)

Hey Deb,

You are so right to be positive. Things will go wrong, but what is important is what you do with it.

People like that are poison. You just have to stay away from them.

Keep being positive!! smileys/smiley20.gif
