Just this morning when enrolling a new consultant (wb) she is being charge $5.00 for a line item called "custom shipping fee - item #2145" and this item is her $29 starter kit. I don't remember ever seeing this before for anything. Is this something new I have missed or another new glitch I should call about? We have not hit "enter" and completed the order yet. There is another line item for shipping as their usually is and that is 9.75, which is what it should be.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The $5 fee is for an order that is under $250 RV when someone is signing up. It's waived if the order is over $250.

I wonder why they charge that fee, since often times the 'green box' comes in their order anyway?

I am a new consultant and I placed an order and I also got a custom fee ...mine was 15.oo on the consultant kit that costs 79.00 . This was in addition to the shipping fee charged for the products I ordered. Seems Business kits are being charged a seperate shipping fee.smileys/smiley19.gif Sue in New Hampshire

The business aids box ($79) has the $15 fee no matter what.
The start-up kit has an additional $5 fee if the order is <$250.

The green box is pretty heavy--I would imagine that if you had to pay to ship it to someone you'd end up paying more, unless you went with book rate. I sent an RE9 set to someone in the next state and had to pay almost $15 for UPS and it's much lighter than the 'green box.' I think it's great of Arbonne to only charge $5 for shipping that item, especially when you consider all the valuable stufffor giving someone a good start that's in it.

I agree, Redundant2 but alot of the signups aren't building a biz and don't even want the "box" yet they have to pay $5.00 shipping.

Well, they're paying $29 and this way they get something they can hold in their hand for that amountas well asgetting the discount. Additionally, I've had several people who signed up just to get the discount but then finallyread through the material that came in the green box later and decided to give the business a try. I just promoted one of those people to District! I've come to think of it as just another way to keep subtly dripping on the "not right now" people.
Edirted to add: I find that most people I talk to go ahead and make at least a $100 purchase because they can then get the free product of their choice. When they see that they are only paying $65 + $29 but in actuality getting more than $200 in value (if they get the anti-aging night creme free, and most do), they immediately "get it". This way they are using more product right away, which helps them be able to recommend it to their friends and family if they choose. Just my2 cents. I have not signed up any of my 50+ consultantsin the five months I've been doing this business that have not signed up with less than $100 because they all have wanted the free product of their choice, and they can only get that free product in the month they initially sign up.Edited by: Redundant2
