Ok candle girls, what type of scent do you feel gets rid of garlic smell in your house better? Floral? Fruity? Sweet? My husband (an awesome cook!) loves to cook with garlic but afterward Whew!! Does my house ever smell of garlic!! I need a clean burning, long burning candle that will neutralize this smell. I have used Mia Bella in the past and love them but don't really have anyone to buy from locally. I would interested in hearing about all the brands pros and cons. Just looking as a customer at this point so would be interested in any sales or deals that you might have too! Also interested in fragrance oils, I have a burner. Thanks for your help!

If you are open to sprays, Scentsy has a room spray called "Odor Out" and I use it for everything... smelly garbage, diaper pails, bathroom odors and cooking smells to name a few. it really does the trick.
We also, of course have a wonderful line of warmers and fragrances (in wax form, not oils). Our warmers use light bulbs as the heat source instead of flame. The wax gets just a few degrees above body temperature, so there is no risk of burns.
I would go with a citrus scent to kick the garlic if it were me...
Hope this helps!
Let me know if you are interested in giving the odor out a whirl!
Good luck with your quest... And hey, maybe you should share some of that awesome cooking with the rest of us! :D

For Senses Soy Candles I have two suggestions, one is our aromatherapy blend line with natural oils. A few are called breathe easy, calming, energizing, headache relief, uplifting & relaxation. The second I suggest is a coffee scent, we have two candles, cafe ole' - mexican spiced coffee and chocolate moose - coffee and bittersweet chocolate. A four oz. jar is only $7, so we are very affordable. (Other sizes available). Hope I am able to help. Thank you.

Eclipse Candle Co has so many great scents and agree I think Citrus will work for you. It is great for strong kitchen odors (such as garlic). I really like Eclipse Candle Co Citrus Basil candle. This is a zesty, clean fragrance is infused with citrus and fresh basil leaves. Refreshing and energizing, this one is a favorite of both, men and women.

Our scents are available in 8oz ,120z, and our 7oz Memory Melts and we have some beautiful warmers.

Let me know if you would like a sample.

I think Mia Bella's Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper would be a great scent to use. If you love Mia Bella you could get your candles at wholesale or a good discount, then you could introduce them to your area since you don't have a local distributor.

Sounds like citrus wins!

Hello!

I see citrus is a popular answer! I can definitely relate with the garlic smell since my husband loves cooking with garlic all the time too! I love eating it, but I don't always want the lingering scent throughout my home! :) I actually have luck using sweet scents, such as Cobbler on the Porch or Strudel & Spice. These sugary scents provide yummy notes to any home after a nice garlicky meal! Gold Canyon is known for their fragrance throw, so their scents are good at knocking out lingering smells! So if citrus is what you are looking for, I would then suggest Fresh Orange or Pomegranate. These are wonderful for the kitchen as well! Feel free to message me if you have any further questions! And good luck!

What type of warmer do you have?

For Every Home has O.A.M. sprays and gels in addition to soy candles and cubes for warmers. O.A.M. (Odor Absorbing Molecules) eliminate odors and do not simply mask them. They are also non-toxic, non-irritating to skin, lungs or eyes.

I agree that Eclipse Candle's Citrus Basil is a great choice. Lemon Pound Cake and Orange Chiffon Bliss are also great kitchen, slightly stronger scents. One of my Fav's is Cherry Lime Slushy for my Warmer. It's a wonderful fruity, summertime fragrance. Sheets in the breeze is also one of our "cleaner" scents. All of our fragrances come in candles and Memory melts. You have a lot of choices.....Good luck and have a great day! Everything is also 10% off this month to celebrate our 1 yr. Anniversary so it's a great time to try Eclipse! :-)

Thanks for all the tips ladies! While I am not a big "citrus" lover, the Lemon Pound Cake sounds yummy! How are the scent throws on the Elicpse candles? What about soot? Mia Bella literally leaves no soot. I've tried other companies like GC and PL and they do leave soot. I have a warmer from Sensaria and absolutey love the Morrocan Vanilla oil, but I don't want to pay $7 shipping for a little bottle of oil!

I've actually seen them at our local fairs, but can't remember the distributor's name. When I go on the website to find a local dist., I get someone in another state. I'd like to support the local rep, but don't know how to find her!

Hi, with Eclipse, the combination of our premium wax and oils, leaves virtually no soot. These are VERY clean burning candles. There has been a lot of research put into these candles and melts. The results are wonderfully clean burning, fragrant till the last burn candles. Our Memory Melts are very generously sized and also very fragrant. I Love them which is why I sell them :) The scent throw is pretty far reaching, I live in an older 2 story home and when I light a candle in the dining room you can smell it through the whole house, nice and inviting. Hope I helped!
Thank-you, Pam

Your brain must be on overload with all the scent offers you're getting. While they all smell wonderful. I wish I could sample you our tins. If you order before the end of the month you get 10% off! Our Lemon Pound Cake is Yummy :) and a great neutralizer. While you're browsing the website you might find something else you like too! Our Memory Melts are very generously sized and very reasonably priced. One of my favorites is "Alice" I love it, It's a vanilla blend of sugar, cotton candy, musk, and light florals. It sounds like it would smell really sweet but it doesn't. It's just a soft and subtle fragrance, that most people tend to go to right away when I sample my tins. ( comes in candles and melts) Again, Good luck and have a great day!!!

I have the Lemon Pound cake going in mine and my whole house smells yummy. Upstairs and down. Its not overpowering. It smells sort of like the lemon girl scout cookies to me. It also lasts a long time. Awesome!

That is what I look for in a candle. I may have to check these out!
I am glad they have warmers! I like warmers now since I have 2 small children. They make me less nervous than having an open flame.

Hey CabiMom-
The warm throw is awesome with Eclipse Candle Company. You do not have to burn the candles. ECC also carries Memory Melts. They are 7 oz (huge size) and are designed to use with the ECC warmers. They have a special bulb that allows the wax to heat to certain degrees that makes the throw incredible. The Memory Melts can be used with other warmers but works best with their own. I agree with Citrus Basil, Lemon Pound Cake, and Orange Chiffon Bliss; however, my favorite in the kitchen is Emmett. Emmett is awesome and makes you feel really wonderful and fun!! Hope this helps. ~Noahkenz
