Freelance and other WAH workers typically have several clients with many different streams of money coming in at all different times. It is very easy to forget key information about your clients, your work, and even your own personal budget and expenses. This is why I created the Freelancer’s Earnings and Expenses Tracking Tool. I needed a way to quickly see how much money I made every day, and how much more I needed to make to reach my weekly income goal. I also wanted to be able to see the information by client, as well as total earnings for any given time period. I created this Excel workbook because I could not find anything else like it. And now, I want to share it with you!
This Excel workbook includes several spreadsheets with everything you need to keep track of all your client’s information, your assignments, and your earnings, all in one place. You can see how much money you are earning from several prospectives and you will have the tools needed to set and then meet your financial goals.
The spreadsheets are filled with formulas, so most of the calculations are done for you. And, once you have the spreadsheet, you can update it year after year!
Detailed instructions are provided in the file. Even if you are not familiar with Excel, this spreadsheet is very easy to use.

A Google doc fan, I’ve also uploaded it to the Google docs so I can easily use it wherever I’m as long as there is Internet access, which is just about anywhere in the world.
At first glance I found it a little difficult to understand, but after spending a few minutes looking through I was good and ready to start using it. The accompanying explanation guide makes setting up and using it a breeze. This spreadsheet has definitely improved my record keeping where my assignments are concerned as well as improved how much I earn. The improved earnings is a big plus for me – in these economic times who doesn’t want to.

LOL, sorry - I couldn't resist :-)
While I have not seen your spreadsheet, I can vouch for the method. I used to use my own all the time until I got to the point I had to build a relational database for all my stuff (well, I guess I did not have to but I took the time to do it because it sounded like a fun project :-) )
Your spreadsheet sounds like it could come in very handy for people that do more freelance work. Tools like this often pay for themselves the firt time you catch something where you didn't get paid :)

Yes, this tool is perfect for freelancers, or anyone that has multiple streams of income coming in at all different times. So far, everyone that has used this spreadsheet has loved it and I have not received any negative comments, or even suggestions for change. In fact, people have told me that they have actually made more money when they used this spreadsheet because they've been much more organized and have set financial goals that they were able to meet.
