I am sending this in regards to working here in the home. I have taken some time off from a regular 9 to 5 work job and have found out, that I am starting to have some slight of medical issues. Therefore, during this past 2 months, I have not been working at all and am in need of finding a way to assist my youngest son whom is working a part time job with keeping a roof over our heads. Therefore, if there's anything that a person can assist me with in that area, I'd greatly appreciate it. As you can see, that I can type, I can answer phone calls, I do need but, can do some organizing of things when needed to be done. If there's any training to be done, I can do some filing and some research. Therefore, if there's anything that has these requirements, please, do let me know. I would also, like to know if there's anyone that knows anything about other home based businesses or people who has been known to turn their passion into a full time business. I do what is called plastic canvas where a person can make tissue box covers, coasters, magnets, wall hangings, etc. Therefore, if there's anyone that can assist me in finding a way to turn that all into a full time business here in the home, I'd greatly appreciate it if, you could get back to me. Your attention on this matter would be greatly appreciate it. Look forward to hearing from anyone out there that can assist me in this matter.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Teresa Thomas

Welcome to WAHM.

You can find many work at home opportunities posted daily in the Telecommuting folder. Check the other forums here for additional sales rep companies that you might be suited for.

Good luck in your job search.

Hope you find something soon. :)

Hi Teresa,
Sorry about your medical issues. As previously mentioned, many job opportunities right here. Check them out then start applying. If you are able/willing to do phone work, CSR is one of the more available jobs with steady hours. If you have a specific question on a particular job/company ask and someone will try to help. For home based businesses look at the other threads. Best wishes.

Hi Teresa,

Uhaul has been doing alot of hiring lately for their E-Sales and Reservations position. If you have customer service experience then maybe this is something that you should check into. I would also recommend Customer Loyalty Concepts customloyal.com . Best of luck to you :)

For your handmade items, you may want to take a look at Etsy - Your place to buy and sell all things handmade, vintage, and supplies (http://www.etsy.com). There are many people using the site to sell their handmade products.

Good luck with your search.

I know how frustrating it can be to find something to do from home that works. Just don't give up - as you keep reading thru the forums, things will start making more sense, and eventually you will find the right thing for you.

Do you have something to sell on Ebay?

I have made extra cash many times by selling something I no longer needed on Ebay. Or go to yard sales and find great deals to resell.

I have made great money by finding deals for a buck at a yard sale that were worth $50 on Ebay. And selling on Ebay is very easy - just sign up and follow the steps to list an item, and you will be hooked. :)

Sounds like you have good clerical skills, have you checked out Elance and Odesk? Both have a variety of freelance for-hire jobs. Good luck!
