Hello Ladies:D:D
Network Marketing sort of fell in my lap without knowing anything about it. I know this is all a learning process and I am still pretty new and it's only been a few months that I have really been getting serious but I know the possibilties that are available in NM.
I am looking for other network marketers who would be open to looking at a way to add an extra income stream that WONT interfere with what your currently doing. :)
We are all in it for the similar reasons ang know there is great money to be made. I am still fresh to the industry and still learning as I go but I can clearly see that there is a chance here for me to make some really good money LEGALLY! We all see others in our companies and organizations doing very well for themselves and know we can too. My enroller who has been doing her business for a little over 3 years averages anywhere from 5k-10k PER MONTH! The thought of making that much money is hard to even imagine but just shows me of the possibilities in this profession. I'm a single mom of two who has always had a job that I worked very hard at no matter what it was. I never missed a day or called in sick and even came in on my days off if needed and I have never even came close to making that much in a month. But being able to see and know someone that is having amazing results only increases my posture and belief in knowing that I can have success and make great money as long as I am willing to put the effort it takes to get it.
I am just having difficulty when approaching others about the business as far as getting them to getting excited about doing the business because I don't have the big checks to show them proof. They want to see the money! Show me the money!! I can tell them all day what my mentor is making but thats not good enough if she's not even in the same state as me and can't show them. I have the belief in the products and business and see how so many in my organization are extremly successful but people you approach want to know how you have done. I think you guys get what I am saying. I am looking for advice/suggestions.
How did you guys get into Network Marketing? What was the major factor in choosing this profession? When you guys were new how did you approach people and get them to understand you have something they want to do and could help them make great money?

I got into to internet marketing and network marketing by listening to an ad on the radio over a couple weeks time period. I wanted to change the way I was living and that was paycheck to paycheck. I got started and literally jumped in with both feet! Started working very hard with a lot of late nights and placing free/low cost ads. The leads starting flowing in and I have been successful with my success continuing to grow.
I would say to you when approaching others about your offer, DO NOT over promise anything. Make sure that you tell them with work success comes and not for free.
A lot of people get this messed up.

I got into network marketing after getting laid of two jobs in a row in a short period of time. I was tired of looking for & learning another new job.
I was simply looking for a way to be my own boss. I knew nothing about network marketing. Now I've been working at home for several years. I'd have a tough time working for someone else now.

I got into network marketing because I had grown weary of 20 years of corporate life: working my arse off and getting a 3% annual raise, having someone else dictate how I spend my time (and work/life balance corporate jobs are a crock!), and seeing layoff after layoff happen. I knew being my own boss was the answer out, but I wasn't sure what to do. After doing a lot of research and seeing the outrageous time and money I'd have to spend to start a business from scratch, I heard about network marketing which required little financial investment and I could easily fit the time needed to build my business in with the rest of my personal/work commitments. The next step was finding a network marketing company that had a product I could be passionate about. I absolutely had NO interest in representing something I didn't use and believe in myself AND one whose leadership was honest and who's reputation was beyond reproach (I'd had enough of corporate lies by that time...lol). Ok, I was probably asking for the moon, but lo and behold, after a year of searching for the right network marketing company, I found mine which happened to be started by the doctors who created the product that helped give my teen daughter more self-confidence and boosted her self-esteem. Their reputation was stellar, so I jumped onboard in pre-launch and never looked back.
I'm proud to say that I quit my full-time corporate job earlier this year and I LOVE being 100% self-employed. The other great thing I love about network marketing is the joy you get by bringing others in this business and seeing how much their lives are improved, too, by financial and time freedom.
As far as what you say when you approach people when you are new. First, be EXCITED! That shouldn't be hard because you picked a product and company that you are passionate about. Tell them you've recently partnered with so and so, or have started a new business in so and so. I'm looking for people who are interested in losing weight, great skin (whatever your products can do for them), and I'm also looking for people interested in a second or replacement income with a home business. Then, invite them to your Website or an information call, something your company offers to introduce people to the products and opportunity. When you talk to people, just remember to keep it short. You don't want to overwhelm them with information. And, ALWAYS get their contact information for follow-up. I follow-up with all contacts with 24-48 hours.
