Hey all,

For the last couple of days, I have been thinking of doing IC work.
I currently do not like what I am doing which is sales. So that is definately something that comes into play when I am looking for other work.

I have decided to do IC work because I want to be able to work on my own time. I have school, family, and other responsibilities in my life that also call for my attention and being able to work my own hours is vital.
Currently, I don't like working 10 hours shifts that take up most of my day...

I have been looking to L*veO*s, A*ise, and other opportunities out there but wanted to post here because I didn't know if anyone out there had a good thing going and would like to share.

It is a scary venture that is for sure but I know that I am hard-worker and it's a great feeling knowing that whatever I put into my work, my pay will reflect that.

Thanks in advance!

There's tons of IC work, so I guess it just depends on what you want to do and what your marketable skills are. I don't have much info on Live Ops but there is an investment involved. It seems people either love or hate Live Ops. I'd do a search on them for more info. There are numerous other IC jobs out there which don't require an investment. Give us more information and then we might be able to help.

As far as what I do personally, my PT IC gig is Leapforce. You're an IC but paid hourly. I love it. You can find more information in the Google Rater thread. Best wishes w/your new venture.

I would love to find more IC positions out there that do not require an investment, which I have definately found some.

I really need something I can work around school. I have school 1-9pm on Tuesdays and 3-9 on Thursdays. I like to have Sundays off for family and I prefer to work 4-6 hours (if the pay is good).

I have read about Leapforce but have not went further than that. I might have to check them out!
I am also concerned about the whole tax thing too lol but I am going to e-mail the person who did my taxes this year and find out more info.

I appreciate the response :)

Don't let the tax thing stop you, contact a professional, but it's really not that big of a deal. You keep track of how much you earn, then make quartely tax deposits/payments. Leapforce is truly the best PT gig for me, at a decent salary. You work when you want and as much/little as you want (there's a minimum per month, but it's very low). You do invest unpaid time (about 15 hours) of studying and exam taking. There a good company, always pay on time, no problems. Lionbridge & Butler Hill do the same thing. I've heard good stuff on Butler, mixed on Lionbridge. Best wishes.
