View Full Version : New Idea for Votives

Just wanted to share something I did today, in case it sparks an idea for anyone else...
Our church collects supplies for our missionaries that are home for a
break. My pastor told me that it was for items that a missionary might
not buy for themselves, something that would be considered a "splurge".
I couldn't think of anything really special enough to donate--until I thought of our candles!
I took three (same scent) votives, put one into a votive holder, then
packaged the other two in individual plastic bags. I arranged all three
votives in another, heavier, plastic bag, tied the top with pretty gold
cord tied into a bow, trimmed off the excess from the top of the bag,
then put my label with fragrance name on the bottom, just in case
they'd like more candles at another time.
I don't intend this as a way to "build my business". I just thought it
would be a special way to "pamper" the missionary wives while they are
home. smileys/smiley1.gif
