THANKS FOR ALL THE TONS OF PM'S. I HAVE ALL THE INFO NEEDED THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.
I'm not looking to sell any candles. However, I am looking for someone who is a candle fantic like myself and has tried more candles. I love to put them on a candle burner also and just leave them on for hours on hours. I am looking for something that smells really good and last for a long time and worth the money if you could pm me with you personal expeirence. Prefer non seller of the candles.

I would suggest that you try burning soy candles. They burn cooler than traditional paraffin wax candles so their scent throw is much better. And, because they burn cooler, they burn longer making them a great value.
Good luck in your search. Let us know how it works out!

If you're planning to use a candle warmer instead of burning your candles, be sure to check with the manufacturer to see if the candles are approved for use in candle warmers. Many people don't realize this, but as a general rule, the highest quality candles (those with the best scent "throw") are generally made from softer wax blends, which do a better job at releasing the fragrance when the candle is burned. For this reason, most high quality candles are not recommended for use with candle warmers (it can actually be dangerous to do so). Candle warmers are best used with very hard wax candles.

Apparently this line of her request was misunderstood....
"Prefer non seller of the candles</span>."

Personally my favorite type of candles are melts of any kind because they are more cost effective (you aren't paying for the wick or jar, but just the wax and fragrance). I know of quite a few companies that sell melts (or often called "tarts", even though that is a trademarked name of Yankee candle) in TONS of different scents. The trick is finding a company that sells scents that you love that will throw well.

I agree with Joyful concerning the use of warmers. Please check with the manufacture before setting a jar candle on a warmer. The jar could break.
I know that you said that you did not want to hear from someone that was in the business and I am. But I am happy to send you some samples of our candles if you would like. These candles do burn for over 100 hours per jar. No need for a warmer. They burn practically soot free. NO TOXIC FUMES!! And the smell is wonderful, 1 candle will feel your home with its wonderful frangrance. These candles smell like the real thing. When the label reads "apple", it smells just like real apple, or "hot apple pie" smells like someone is baking or "Fresh Linen" smells like clean sheets, "Heart of the Ocean" smells like a wonderful sea breeze. THEY SMELL SO GOOD, YOU'LL WANT TO USE A SPOON INSTEAD OF A MATCH! Over 100 fragrances to choose from.
Just email me with your address and I will be happy to send you some samples. scenteddream@yahoo.com Smelling is Believing!! I will let the candles do the talking.
If you would like to check out my website http://miabellacandle.org
I have a online retail store on my website.

I think a lot of the people that come to this folder are either candle makers or candle sellers. I burned a lot of Yankee Candles and a lot of my own candles. I have heard, as far as the melters, that you have to use jars made specifically for that purpose. Those candles usually come without a wick (and no metal wick tab at the bottom of the jar). I guess what can happen is the metal tab heats up too hot and the jar breaks. (this is also the reason why you shouldNOTlet candle jars burn all the way to the bottom - I had a Y***** Candle blow up on me once! Oops!) If you are interested in a sample of my tarts - I would be happy to send you some. (that way you can try mine, along with other brands, to see what you like best)
Good luck with the candle hunt!

DO NOT USE Mia Bellas candles on a WARMER. The Jar will break.
I'd much rather NOT make a sale and give you good advice than sell you something and you have a bad experience.
Kara is right. Using a simmer pot is a GREAT idea if you want it on forever without the use ofa wick, or flame. There is the initial purchase of the simmer pot, but after that it's pure wax you're using.
You can also find simmer pots that use low wattage light bulbs instead of tea lights too. smileys/smiley2.gif

I also have burned MANY candles including Yankee, Beanpod and White Lily.
I would also be willing to send out candle cups(tarts)
samples to those who would like to try them.
This is what I prefer:
Candle Cups-in our "heavenly" line. Both the soy and
heavenly are strong but I find that heavenly is stronger and lasts longer in a candle cup.
Jar candles-I prefer "soy" over the heavenly. If you
want to use on a warmer than soy is the way to go
and the apothecary jars have been fine on warmers.
Since they are hand poured to order, you can order them "wickless" specifically for warmers.
If you'd like a sample, pm me and I'll give you a list of what I have smileys/smiley2.gif

You know, I will throw out a vote for Bittersweet Candles. I was going to rep for them but decided not to, so I'm not really a seller. The candles are some of the best and strongest selling available right now. If you can deal with a little bit of a long shipping time right now, I think you'll enjoy them. They even have a wickless version so it's perfect for candle burners.
Missy
My disclaimer so I don't get slammed by BS reps...I'm not dogging the company on the shipping info, I just want her to know it's a little long right now...they are trying to fix it...and myreason for notsellingwas definitely not the product - the candles smell great.

Personally, my favorite candles have been Illuminations for about the last 9 years. I am trying the Soy candles but I am witholding judgement on them until I receive them. I am picky about my candles. LOL!

I think most people missed the "prefer non seller of the candles", however, in all our defenses, it's hard not to talk about ourselves. I am familiar with several kinds, but let me tell you first
a). Read all manufactures instuctures. Many candles can't go on warmers, they will crack and could cause fire.
b). Be careful where you place them, not just close to drapes and such(common sense). But also, not under ceiling fans.
There is a lot of care instruction that go into candles - keeping wick trimmed. You can buy candles anywhere. Scent and preference are what matter.
I've used Home Interior candles, they come in several sizes and scents. I've heard mixed reviews on Home and Garden party candles. Many scents, but not a lot of sizes.
I sell two different kinds. Taste of Home Entertaining has a few. I don't light them or but them on a warmer. Setting them in the sun and the whole house smells. See if there is a consultant near you if you want more info or I can PM you.
I also have soy based candles. They burn clean.

I agree with Kara on the melts- I use them almost exclusively now. I have several warmers thoughout the house, and one at my camp even. Not only is the smell stronger, but I can change scents at any time at little cost.
