Small but growing action sports start-up company (S-corp) is seeking an experienced accountant to help clean up its books and prepare for a due diligence with outside investors.
Responsibilities will include:
Working with COO and Treasurer to perform an initial assessment of the health, quality and accuracy of current records
Help COO develop a plan to clean up any sources of concern within books over last few years
Help train COO and treasurer on ways to improve standard processes (ranging from simple payroll payments to invoicing and inventory accounting)
Advise company on how to improve accounting practices and ensure company moves forward in accordance with GAAP
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum Requirements;
Expert working knowledge of QuickBooks (online)
Five years minimum bookkeeping experience
A/P and A/R experience including collections
Experience preparing and understanding financial statements
Advanced knowledge and understanding of GAAP
Proficient in MS/Word and Excel
Honesty & integrity
References
Additional desired competencies:
Start-up experience
Start-up financial accounting major plus
Action Sports experience
