I decided to post this in this area as I have received several messages about arbonne in my research:
Thank you for your answer. I have been looking into Arbonne, I have a question:
-when you become a consultant, how many people do you need in your team
(aside from volume) to become a district manager and above?
I read in the comp plan that you need at least five plus volume</span>, but
then I read the post on the Arbonee section about how people are DM but
have no people under them! then they are panicking about keeping their
title and not getting into more volume debt on their own.
if this is the case, then it sounds and looks like Herbalife</span>, where
you can "buy" or achieve your higher status by volume alone!???!!!</span>
can you please answer this? thank you I will post it in the Arbonne section just in case.

Technically, there is no specific amount of people needed to be at any level of managment...although many would suggest having 3-5 strong "legs" under you (people that are really working @rbonne as a business).
To move to District Manager, you need to have $6000 in volume in one month OR $6000 in 2 months OR $7500 in 3 months. At least $1000 of it needs to be YOUR PERSONAL volume. The rest can be made up from your team.I made DM with only 2 people on my team. It just depends on how hard you (and your team members) are working. :) Some people can make it to DM alone because they can easily sell $6000 in product over a couple of months. Others (like me)need some help. However, you do have to continue to sell a certain amount once you are in different levels of management. That is when it can get difficult for some to maintain and that is why it is helpful to have others working with you.
As far as "buying" your way to the top...I suppose that people could do this...but it is against our policy. @rbonne has a 70% rule stating that you agree to sell 70% of your order before placing another order. So, I don't know how you could abide by that and merely buy your way to the top. You would have a HUGE load of inventory!
Hope that helps.Edited by: cindi8d

Anabella, Cindi covered all the points well. I really don't know anything about Herbalife so I can't say if it's similar or not as far as successplan.
Technically, since there are no requirements on sponsoring, you can promote on volume alone. There are people who retail a lot of products & promote that way. Though it amazes me that they can do it b/c I imagine they are working like crazy. If you are in this to leverage your time then not sponsoring isn't the way to go.
As Cindi said, it goes against policy to buy your way to the top. It's also illegal. I'm sure there are people in every NWM company who buy their way up promotions but it's really not the smart thing to do. It's going to bite them in the behind b/c there is no way you can maintain things like that. If you don't have a team or aren't retailing to meet hte volume requirements then you'd just have to keep buying all the volume. That's insane.
