Just thought I would share this idea with you! I am in the beginning stages of planning this year's party. It is something I do every year!

It usually is a mytery hostess party and I decided to add the pajama party auction game with it.

My new local consultant is hesitant about parties. So I told her to invite her guests and I will invite mine. The party will be at my house with me actually doing the party with her help. I am so hoping her friends will book a party with her!

So if anyone wants to see my invitation, let me know. It is in the rough draft form right now. Once my husband gives me his feedback, it will be ready to go!

What are all of you doing for Mother's Day parties? I would love to hear some more ideas!

Megan,

Did your Sister sign up last night? I make up flyers more than I send out invitations to my own personal parties. Some of my friends keep them in a box! My husband is very good at helping me refine the invitations.

Have a great weekend!

Vicki, I'd love to see the flier too! I was wondering when people were holding their Mother's Day spas...are you holding thme in a few days to make sure the order gets here in time for gifts, or are you holding them actually near Mother's Day so that the Spa is actually the gift and they can order if they want to? Let me know!

Vickie,

I dont have a sister thats old enough. Did you see someone that looks like me or something? What type of flyer do you use? That wouldbe cheaper then buying invitations and paying all the shipping charges. Thanks for the idea!

It isn't anything extravagant, but I think it does the job! I am passing them out to all of my neighbors and basically my whole neighborhood. Formy clientsthat have email, Iused the Mother's Day e-card. For just my friends/relatives that I email, I just copied and pasted the invitation into the body of the email.

I would still like to see your invitation! smileys/smiley1.gif Maybe I can get great ideas for next time!

Sorry Megan, it was Deb's Sister who signed up last night! Mommy brain is working at full speed today!

Mistie, I like your mystery hostess flyer! I am leaving the host benefits a secret since I am having a lot of new people attending. The pajama auction dollar game and the mystery hostess should keep them intrigued all night long!

Julia picked out paper with violets on it, so it does look like a Mother's Day invitation!

Thanks so much for sharing your Mother's Day ideas with us, ladies! It gives me a lot to go on.

Vicki, I love going to Office Depot and picking out the paper there..they have some great stuff, especially around the (winter) Holidays. This is such a great board. Thanks again to everyone for your willingness to share. That's the true WHO spirit shining through!

Don't even get me started on paper! LOL My friends send it to me for birthday and Christmas gifts! My husband thinks I am crazy to buy more when I have one shelf devoted to it. That is full, by the way.

I have 2 big parties a year. Mother's Day and Hostess Appreciation in the fall. Hostess Appreciation is a lot of fun too! I am changing that a bit this year too. That will take place in the fall. I will let everyone know what is planned when it gets closer. This event will be in early November.

ROFL about the paper, Vicki. I am not far behind you on that! My husband can't fingure out why I need so many different kinds of paper (tissue paper, regular printer paper, paper for the different holidays and seasons, etc.). He is getting better, but it's definitely going to be a process!

In the meantime, I will continue to pick up cute paper whenever and wherever I can. You never know when you'll need to use it smileys/smiley36.gif

I almost forgot..I love the Hostess Appreciation idea. AND the Girl's Weekend or overnight thing you are planning on doing. I have always wanted to do both of those things, but haven't known how to get started. I would love to sit and chat and get some ideas about it when you have time. PM me and let me know if/when I can give you a call if you don't mind.

Thanks for all of your help!

Shawn

Shawn,

Great to know that there are others out there that have a big thing about paper! I too have paper of all kinds. And don't get me started on cello wrap and bags! LOL

My office closet is full of shred, cute bags for gifts, etc. Nashville Wraps loves me! I do create baskets and that is where I get my supplies from.

I'll send you a PM. It will be fun getting to know you!
