View Full Version : Idea for special

I had an idea for a special to hopefully get more volume by the end of the month and wanted to get other opinions/ideas.
I would offer the 35% discount to new clients and pay for shipping. The offer would only be available until April 30. If the client decides to reorder, they would have the option of signing up for the discount.

Thanks for any feedback!

I have tried that without too much luck, I am trying what someone here suggested a while ago, to offer free additional product. Like, $25 free with every $50 purchased, and every $50 gets a name in for a drawing for a free Product (I use whatever I have on hand, from when I got freebies from the autoship or extra holiday products)

This month I am also doing 50% off the before sun line to "get ready for summer". I know I may take a loss, but if I get the order up to $250, and use the $100 for $20 it won't be so bad. I actually have 2 people coming over tomorrow to look at the self tanner and put in orders after the email I sent out Monday. And if they order one before sun, they may just go ahead and order another product at regular price, so it will balance out. I have had a couple people interseted in the bronzer for $14 and then I suggest the new mineral makeup. They want to see it first though, but now I can contact them when my product comes in. So it opened a dialogue...

I have also heard that calling works better, but I have never done that, I am too chicken!!

I did 25% off my first 2 months as intro and I sold 2k worth of product (RV). Then each month I have had a special, this month is, but 100 (pay retail) get a lipsaver free. Its been just ok. I think whatever you do, you should offer it to everyone, not just new people. I know I don't like it when my hairdresser runs a special for "new" clients. I have been supporting her for years and have sent her countless referrals and would love a deal now & then as well. Reward your loyal clients too. Just my opinion.

Sometimes it is in the way something is presented. Some may not respond to 35% off but may respond to buy $100, get $50 free. $150 worth of product at 35% off is $97.50.

Oh my god I'm getting frustrated, this is the 5th time I've tried to write this and when my fingers hover over the fingerpad I lose everything and it logs me in again! ahgggg.

Here we go again.

Hi, my name is Melanie and I'm in Canada and I just joined today. I have a teaching degree but haven't used it much (subbed for a year) as I got pregnant soon after. I have been very fortunate to have stayed home with my 2 boys (4 ane 6) and now I am ready to tackle something new! It may be a little selfish, but my some of my "why" is me! I have been taking care of my family and now I'm going to take care of me my learning about something new (**A**) and sharing it with others. **A** is somthing I am interested in and am passionate about so why not take it a step further. I look at it as I am "investing" in me.

I have been following this board for some time and have to say that I admire all of you for taking the time to help each other and I look forward in participating in your discussions. Having said that, I have a question.

I know that there is a lot of different ways of doing this biz, and would like to know what works for different people. Are any of you offering the 35% discount to everyone? This is what my upline is doing and I can see how it will build clients but I am afraid it might deter potential BB because it would take a long time to see any return. Maybe I'm wrong????? Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help or comments,

Mel

I offer the option to join and get 35% offf to everyone, but not everyone does it. I still have a very few retail clients so that helps with the short term. But the benefits of the long term are so tremendous that is what I am focusing on. Just tell your bbs their options and let them decide. Just remember that so many are offering the sign up that it is best to tell everyone about it and let them decide. just my opinionsmileys/smiley2.gif

I've run a sucessful special on the cellulite set twice now. I offer them 25% off the set PLUS their choice of a free self-tanner or bronzing powder. I wait until I have at least 3 orders of this special, then combine it with my own order to get the self tanners and bronzing powders in the 100-for-20 deal. I have several ladies in my office who aren't interested in becoming a consultant but love the products, and I always sell several sets this way. I'm getting ready to offer it again in May.
