Does anyone know if Google Voice hires people to transcribe?

I understood Google Voice was fully automated.

I've also heard it was all voice recognition. I don't remember where I read it, but during some internet surfing I came across some conversation on a forum that people were making fun of the "transcriptionists" how handled Google Voice because it was so off from what they said sometimes. Someone later commented that the reason it was off was because there are no transcribers. You'd think they would at least hire some proofreaders! (But that's just my opinion) :)

I use Google Voice, and it definitely is voice recognition technology. It's the same software you use, if you have an Android phone, for voice recognition commands. :)

I am wondering if Vonage uses voice recognition for their emails voice mail messages. We use Vonage and get an email of all voice mails along with the audio and it is absolutely pathetic. Nothing is spelled right and names and everything is completely wrong. So, if they use voice recognition, it clearly doesn't work, and if they are using transcribers, they need to fire them and hire different ones.
