HI everyone
I am doing a trade show type thing tomorrow that is targeted only to nurses. It is kind of a job fair/day of appreciation for nearly all the hospitals and nursing schools in town.
I started stocking up last month on samples, hand cream, foot cream, catalogs to pass out, not even thinking of how close to NTC it would be. Now I have 40 catalogs, 10 each of the basic skin care sets and about 40 each of the small hand and foot creams.
I am wondering what is the best approach. My mom suggested cutting out the pages of the basic/biomatte/bio hydria sets, I did that in one and it is not too bad. My other thought was printing up 'discontinued' stickers and sticking those on the pages. I copied and pasted all the new product info from the website and got it into one sheet front and back to staple on or tuck in the front cover. Most of my flyers I have put out have old product on them, so I am scrambling to make up new set specials, etc. It was hard to preplan when we didn't know what was coming!
I guess the samples are a waste now.I want to use as much ofmy other stuff as possible.Thebasic hand cream, I was going to use the no mineral oil angle, since most nurses use latex gloves, etc.
I was going to sell them with a 'coupon' for $5 off first order for $5 each. I am doing a spa basket/mother's day gift basket drawing to get names.
I am doing the salt scrub on their hands (well, letting them do it since I can't really touch them) and will have testers ofseveral productsout.
My upline is coming up from out of state to do it with me, and she used to be a nurse, so that should be great. She is bringing all the new products to show off, so I get to see them, too! Yay! But since she has been gone, I haven't been able to pick her brain too much. She is comitted to helping me 'make it' she has been so great all along and so encouraging, I can't wait to spend the whole day with her!

Hi anet!
I still have a bunch of old catalogs, too - what you're doing sounds great to me! Maybe cutting the pages out would seem less overwhelming than having page after page of discontinued products, though...and then adding those flyers you madesounds perfect! I wouldeven still use the old samples -even though @rbonne isn't selling them anymore, it's still a way to get @rbonne products into their hands, and if they like something, you can just say, Great, now they've actually improved on that hand cream, so you'll love it even more! :)
Good luck!!

I'm so jealous. When I mentioned trade shows, i was told no, that they are a waste of time :(
That is what I want to do and know other people that book 20+ appointments from the one expo.
Best of luck!

Hi
This one went really well today. It was all nurses and nursing students! I did the salt scrub, my upline showed up with all the new products, so I got to see them! WOW, are they cool! She had made up 50 flyers to pass out and tucked them in the before and after brochure with a RE9 body duo sample and we had a ton of traffic.
I had three people sign up on the spot, filled out their consultant agreements and everything! And several booked classes, and we go several on the books to call tomorrow to set up results drops. Probably 10 of those were very solid, 4 were vegetarians, so they were all over it. I also sold about $100 of product outright, salt scrubs and body duos I had on hand.
All in all, it was well worth the $100 and the time involved. I was there 9-3, set up and tear down was another two hours, and I spent about 2 hours last night printing and organizing stuff.
I am so excited because the organizer does these in other cities nearby and she put me on the roster for the next two that are each a 2 hour drive a way. I am definitely going to do them. So Itwill help me build my business in other cities as well.
