It looks like the AI Moisturizer has no sunscreen in it! Is that right? The BioMatte was SPF 8!
I am soooooo disappointed! smileys/smiley19.gif

I guess they assume you will also be using our foundation, which does have an spf in it.

I honestly don't know anyone who uses foundation. well, that is not true, my 85 year old grandma does.
I will stick with the RE9, but most younger girls I know don't wear foundation to get their SPF that way. I will suggest the Before Sun, I guess...but that is another expense.

I don't use foundation either, but I've tried the mineral powders and I think
they're nice and light. I won't be using them daily because I don't really need
a foundation, but I think they're really good products.I hear lots and lots of
people love the mineral powder foundations, so maybe you'll have some luck
selling that!

I am 36, and in the two years of doing Arbonne, I have only sold 2 foundations. People I know just don't use it. Even my best business builder who is a make up fiend, and worked for spas and Mac makeup and lancome before doesn't wear it. She is 29. She does the makeovers for our team and we just don't get anyone who wants foundation.

37 - wear foundation sometimes, for dress up mostly, but just lightly. I do have many gal pals that are spending a small fortune on the bare ess. mineral foundation though (and my mom) so I am psyched about that...

I am excited about that as well. I think most of the girls I know avoid the foundation because it seems thick and pasty and leaves a big line around the chin. (You know how some people wear it) and some of my girlfriends my age have expressed interest in the mineral foundations to start covering some of the *flaws* but not being heavy. So I am ordering a couple to sample around and see what we think!
I do love the bronzer, so this seems like it will be similar, but more subtle.

So, do you think we can wear the mineral foundation AND the bronzer? I have to have my bronzer!! I just don't want to rub off the mineral foundation while putting on my bronzer.smileys/smiley2.gif

Yes you can use your bronzer. Bare Escentuals has a bronzer in their starter kit.

I have to chime in here, if I may?
Having Mineral Foundaton Powders is HUGE!Applied correctly, the finish
is flawless, and noone will know you have any makeup on at all. Be aware
that minerals have to "warm" on the skin for about 1/2 hour before they
look their best. Just start with a SMALL (1/8-1/4 teaspoon) amount and
layer. Stop before you need to and add a little more later if needed.
Always mak SURE your moisturizer (if you wear one) is completely
absorbed ito your skin befoe you apply minerals. They MUST be applied
to clean DRY skin.
Some folks will mist their face to "set" the minerals, but I never do that for
my clients. You may also apply a little eye cream on top ofthe minerals in
a "pat" motion if your skin is extra dry there.
Hope this helps,
Nondy

Great info, thanks Nondy!
I am 45 & have always used foundation. Our Line Def1ance is very light to me, I don't even feel like I have any on. I was told it had much of the same benefits as our other facial products & could be massaged in. As for the Minerals, I think this is a great step for us in providing quality products that are in demand at a great price!

One of the great things I have experienced using the R*9 products for only 1 week is that my skin is getting better & more even-toned so I do not need as much foundation. I just apply it to the sides of my nose & some red areas on my cheeks! A little powder & I'm out the door!
I love this stuff!

I am 23 and I am really dry (with out Arbonne) so I am not a fan of foundation (although I sell at lot of them to an older group of Clinets) I also didn't really need it. After 16 yrs of using Arbonne my skin is nice. I went to NTC and I am using the Mineral foundation... LOVE IT. I will be using this all the time. I also use the brozer as I am a 1 or 2 in the color lines. I think it looks great. I also uses the Re9 but not every morning do I get to wash my face if I am in a hurry with 3 kids (ages 3, 2 and 7 weeks) so I love that this protects me some. When we were are NTC I didn't bring my sun line smileys/smiley9.gifI got burnt the last day on my arms and shoulders but not my face (which with such fair skin usually happens)
So just a thought there on me.

Thanks for the great info Nondy! Can you please explain why the minerals have to warm on the skin for a 1/2 hour? It almost sounds like it works the same as a self tanner. The color comes out stronger about a 1/2 hour later?

Mamasita,
No, the color will not change, but since we're talking about crushed rocks
essentially, they will look a little "rough" or "dry" until they acclimate to
your body's temperature. Look at your skin right after you apply the
mineral foundation, and 1/2 hour later. You will notice a "softer" look
after letting little time elapse. This is why you need to layer, and stop
before you normally would. If after a while, you do not feel that you are
well enough covered, you can then go back and apply anther layer. But if
you get too much ON, you will have to wash your face, and start all over
again...
HTH,
Nondy

Nondy thanks for the tips- I find I look "oily" or shiny right after I put on the MPF so I have been putting on a powder on top of it. Is this wrong- can you do this?
Thanks for you help- I so want to love this because it is soo easy to do. Also, any help for making sure you have it on evenly?

Yes, you can put an oil-absorbing finishing powder on after you have
applied the minerals, and should have no problems. It will take time to
adjust minerals, finising powders, etc., so just tinker with them until you get
your correct finish. Most mineral foundations have a natural reflective
finish. I use a rice mattifyer to soften that shine.

I am over 40, but have been using foundation since I was in my 20's. I
love it! My favorite formula is a cream to powder type because it
goes on lightly and then dries to a nice matte, natural looking finish
for my oilier skin. It is also very easy and fast. I have never tried a
mineral foundation, sounds great but a little time consuming. Might
have to give it try though.
By the way, I will not leave the house without some kind of SPF
protection on my face and arms. It is tricky trying to find a
moisturizer that is not too heavy with SPF. Regular facial
sunscreen is to greasy for me. I have never tried the Arbonne sunscreen
for faces, is it greasy? It is a bit pricey, but if it works who cares!
