Hi Everyone,

I posted this on the vitamin thread, but since it's getting OT, I decided to
start a new thread. Here's what I wrote:

Hi Whiten05!

I'm glad to hear you like the Intelligence line, really, I am! The reason I'm
not into it is because I really don't like the smell at all. I'm hoping it's just
me. I react very strongly to scent (I love the RE9 scent, but I can't use the
creams because they're too heavy for me.) I'll be really happy if others like
it. I dislike the scent so much, I'm almost afraid to give out samples.
Anyone else out there feel like this? Please, I'd LOVE to hear it's just me!!

Thanks!

So please, if you really, honestly love this, tell me. I'll be thrilled!

gee, I can't wait to smell it now!! I love essential oils and I know they can smell pretty strong, do you think it's a scent from a strong oil? What do they smell like?

Oh, boy. I don't want to get too negative. I love essential oils too. Some of
the line smells a little "herbie" which is fine with me. The cleanser, and a
couple other things smell like chemicals to me. My husband said, "It smells
like some liquid was left in a plastic container for a few days and then
reopened." Sorry. I hope others disagree!

Thats how I am about the vanishing set. I think it smells like urine. Is it just me, or maybe a bad batch? Should I start a separate thread? I have been afraid to market it to people b/c the smell, to me, is so bad.

Well, if it's any consolation, I don't mind the smell of the vanishing set at all!
I think we just all react differently, which is why I want to hear from people
who don't mind the Intelligence set. It will help me build my belief!

I have a very strong sense of smell myself. If something smells bad then I just can't get past it. A lot of scents trigger migraines for me. But the Intelligence line doesn't bother me at all. It just smells herbal-ly to me. (not a word, lol) Now, I'm not saying I would want to make a perfume out of the scent or anything but to me it's not a bad smell per se.

I agree the smell is not bad I would use it as a perfume but to wash my face I dont have a problem and it doesn't leave the smell after you wash it off atleast not to me.

I love the scent of the new Intelligence line, especially the
TF/scrub/masque. Love the scent of the Vanishing Act as
well. Really love the new hand cream and body
lotion!!! We don't use perfumes in our house because of my
migraines, so I am used to pure herbal scents.

If it puts your mind at ease, I just had an open house and everyone loved all the new stuff.

I want to try the new line but it looks like it has AHAs and I don't think my skin can handle that.

wow, now I need to get my hands on AI ASAP. I wanted to get some samples and while the website doesn't specify that they come as a 10 pack, I'm assuming they do. RE9 samples comes in 10 packs so I'm assuming these do too. Does anyone know for sure?

Beverly,

Great to hear about your open house! Just out of curiosity, did you have
clients or business builders over? Did people buy the set?

Cheers!

Yes, 10 pack sample sets are available in The Place.

I always thought (as well as alot of people I spoke to) that the hand cream smelled like baby wipes. I didn't mind it but the new hand cream has a wierd smell. Like a baby wipe but kind of sour. I hope it's just me!

We had both at the open house. Most of the clients use RE9, so
they didn't buy the facial set, but loved the body stuff and bought
that. My whole team participated. We offer huge wholesale
discounts for these events, so we get a lot of outside orders as
well. I think we did about $2000 last night with all the outside
orders and what we sold at the event.

For the person that was concerned about reactions with sensitive skin,
I would at least try a sample. Our RVP has very sensitive skin
and had to use the BioMatte line before it was discontinued. At
NTC she tried AI and had no problems! She was thrilled.

Well, I encountered two business builders this week. One's on my sideline
and the other is direct to me. Neither liked the smell of the cleanser. I
guess what I'll have to do is wait for some client feedback. In the meantime,
I'll just say we can really smell the botanicals in it and that it's a "clean"
smell. If I direct people this way, they may not think it smells like chemicals.

On a positive note, I have true normal/oily skin and it works well. I loved my
old n/o set, so that's saying something. Granted, my skin is not very oily,
nor is it dry. I can't wait to hear from some who are very oily and dry. I'm
still confused about who we're supposed to recommend it to--if someone
has very dry skin and is in her 40's or 50's, can we still recommend
Intelligence? SInce they say 16-30, I wonder if it's for only slightly dry skin.

yes, for extremely dry, they can add the rejuvenating cream, and for the oily they can add the personalizer

I just tried the Intelligence tonight for the first time and let me tell you... WOW!!!! Absolutely LOVE it!!! I really like the smell, doesn't smell "chemical" at all to me... almost like hot tea, in a way. I tried to be very careful with the exfoliater with thermal fusion, because I usually would break out using a scrub, so I tried not to scrub it, just apply it.

I wouldn't let your personal opinion on the smell hinder you from selling it. Let the customers smell it for themselves if they ask you what it smells like - then you don't have to lie or give your opinion. You should feel validated in what you think because everyone is different. That is also the reason you should not let it hold you back. I thought I had a very sensitive "smeller" :) but I was blown away by my cousins who thought the hand cream had a "strong" smell. I barely smell the hand cream!!! Everyone is different and all they have to do is try it and then they can return it if they don't like it.

I thought that one of the vanishing products had no smell and the other had a strange but ok smell. If you think you have a bad batch of any Arbonne product, you should exchange it just so you can be certain.

Well, the smell is growing on me! Plus, I had another business builder over
tonight. She tried it in my bathroom. I didn't lead her either way. After she
used the cleanser, I asked her what she thought of the smell. She said she
didn't notice it at all. I think that's good!
