My recruiter and I are going to set up a booth at a local Spring Folly. She said that last year around 20,000 people walked through the Folly in a two day period (according to the website). My recruiter is working both days, and I'm helping her out in the morning and early afternoon on Saturday, May 6th. Another one of her consultants is helping her out both Friday and Satruday evenings.
I'm really looking forward to this booth. I've had a very hard time booking parties in the past. I'm hoping that at least four bookings from this booth can give mea stepping stone to get started with. I'm really anxious to grow my business. My current job is very stressful and I don't feel like I can put up with it too much longer.
Anyway, I'm rambling....What I really wanted to know is what advice can you give me about having success with a booth? Are there any things that have brought you more bookings? I'm meeting with my recruiter next Tuesday and I would love to have some great ideas. If this booth is successful, then I am considering working my own booth in June at another fair.
Thanks so much ladies!!!

I am sure your Director will have a great looking display! Mine changes all the time.If someone sees me more than once it is not always the same.
We bring a big desk calendar with dates highlighted for when we are available. This is on a stand where people walking by can see. They do stop and stare at it! I offer a coupon for booking at the event. That has worked for me! It is only good if they hold their party on that date. Another thing I do is set out the flip cards to the picture of the guests relaxing at the party with their eye pads on. That is in front of my display so they can pick it up and look at it.
Mainly, I focus on the experience and give them the reasons why they would want to have a party.Make it impossible for them to say no!
It is possible to get bookings and new consultants from these events! I have gotten both.
If you don't get bookings on the spot, make sure you follow up on your leads that you get!

Thanks so much for your advice. It really helps to give me an idea of what to do before I speak with my director next week.
