I want to ask for prayers for all of the families and businesses hit by multiple tornadoes across Alabama, the Carolinas and Virginia yesterday. Many families lost their homes, and whole neighborhoods were destroyed. There were 10 fatalities in our area alone,nearly half of which were children under 5 years old. Many tens of thousands of people are still without power. Please keep them in your hearts today :)

My husband and I were just talking about it. He seen it on the news. We will keep them in our prayers. What a terrible tradegy....sudden tornado.

I've heard about the news on the tornado in California. Actually, I've seen one of the video footages on youtube. It's very horrible. Will be sending prayers for the victims and losses of the calamity.

I live in this area of the country and it is a tragic loss; especially the innocent children. My prayers go out to all of the families affected and those who are grieving the loss of loved ones. Hopefully, business and home owners had insurance. Lives of loved ones cannot be replaced. I have mentioned before that I am putting together emergency supplies in order to be prepared for unexpected power outages, etc. It is best to collect these things over time so that when an emergency strikes you are prepared.

This is just so close to home - we live near Charlotte... I was shocked when they showed the devastation and I realized how horrible it was for so many families. We will remember them in our prayers.

I have been praying for all the people affected by the tornadoes. It doesn't take long to appreciate what you have when you hear some of the stories of survival and death. I can't imagine losing my home and everything in it. It just boggles my mind how people get beyond that. I will continue to pray for these people.

It has been 1 week today since the tornadoes in Alabama. Prayers are still needed and appreciated. The devastation remains for numerous counties.
